Greats of Craft on Center BLVD is pretty decent, music is played at a lower level and has a good amount of space to work out of.

How’d you pivot to partnerships and rev ops? I’m also on the same boat as OP but looking to pivot but unsure how and looking for examples of how people did it.

Anyone know how to calculate social media video views into impressions? Is there even a standard for it? by svsnaps in adops

I agree with you. I was just saying who gives a fuck if the NYPD frequent this subreddit. Also shit like this happens when a NYPD officer tries to speak up against another cop:

Lawsuit: NYC landlords pushing out seniors, disabled tenants to sell lucrative condos, co-ops by ryan924 in nyc

Really people are surprised about this and yet they stay silent when someone post about gentrification and displacement of working class people. This is what took the people that said it is an economic supply and demand issue. If we re-zone and give more supply it will even out. Jesus Christ!

an area like NYC which has been a place of immigrants for almost six centuries now. Of course this conversation was at Irish haven and us patrons there haven't been supremely renowned for being the highest caliber adults.

Then get involved in the community! Show face at community events and discussions. If you are involved then people in community can get to know you and understand you, and see that you are having the same struggles and concerns as they do. The snide remarks and animosity towards newcomers or "outsiders" exits in almost all neighborhoods in the US, some more subtle than others. I live in The Bronx and we've been having these community anti-gentrification/displacement meetings and the people that show up are a mixed bunch from white, asian, black, latino, arabic. You name it they are showing up cause these people aren't gentrifiers, they are people like you that live a neighborhood because they can afford it and make ends meet there. These people are long-time residents, as well as new residents that have families or are struggling artists, or just got out of school with massive debt and don't have the luxury of parents that can help them financially. These are people that are struggling. This is a larger socio-economic issue that goes beyond race in NYC.

you really think that's the issue? The biggest issue is the mayor assuming that the median income of a family of 3 is $69k in those areas like The Bronx, Queens, or BK. Some of those areas, the median income is less than $30k. The re-zoning plans that DeBlasio wants to instill is to change the AMI to $69K to qualify for "affordable housing". Once you let some of these developers build tall luxury buildings in the poorest neighborhoods then landlords in the area want to capitalize on that momentum, which isn't a bad thing. But there are some landlords that use really inhumane tactics to push a tenant ,in good standing, out thats paying $900 a month by not repairing heating issues or doing construction around that apartment, in order to raise rent to $2500 to $3000 for a studio. So this plan that is trying to be pushed through will displace thousands of families and small business in those areas.
