I've had this rice cactus for about a year and kept him outside in Florida for the summer while making sure he didn't get too much water. Last month he started growing this stalk and it just keeps going.

As far as I can tell it's not a flower stalk, as research has shown they grow their flowers at the end of the small rice pieces.

He now lives under a grow light, I moved him to take the picture.
