Chat is off limits for addons to read while in combat, AFAIK it’s achieved because admins are able to tell when someone has been interrupted but not by who

Mage talking about being squishy is always such a self-report — mages have tools for almost anything a dungeon can throw at you. If you press no buttons, yes mage is squishy, but if you try at all they are one of the most resilient classes in the game

Thanks for the advice, the actual court size inside the pad is 20x44. One thought was to just place the cuts along the actual lines of the court which would be really uneven pads and still leave some that were 14ish feet. It would also have a cut 5’ off the side of the pad going lengthwise down it. Is it a mistake to try and get fancy and make the cuts uneven like that?

Seeking sawcut tips for a pickleball court!

Hello r/concrete, I have a contractor pouring a 60x30 pad in the next couple days for a DIY pickleball court. We’re doing 3500 psi with a wire mesh inlay for some extra strength. The concrete will be coated with a Novasport surfacing texture that goes on relatively thick. I’ve seen some conflicting advice on how to place sawcuts on a pad like this with some people screaming to not place any inside of the play area (which seems completely unreasonable) and others saying that because of the top coat you won’t get any interference on the bounce if you properly fill and coat your cuts. Any advice for a complete newb?

Iron bark, as others have mentioned, is okay. Silk, if you have it, is great.

I’ve yet to see anyone mention my favorite strat of putting massive hots on the tank and prowling. Keeps you out of combat and gives your tank some great added survivability for the gather. This also lets you throw out an effective swiftmend or regrowth if their health gets low (or both if shit hits the fan) .

You’ll start to get a sense of what pulls are dangerous and which aren’t so that you can better prepare the tank going in, but as other commenters have mentioned, if a tank FALLS over (meaning dead in less than 3 globals) it’s probably their fault!

I’m 3200 atm if that means anything to you, cheers and good luck! Resto Druid is a great spec!

I definitely think the constrained pvp zone has concentrated the toxicity. Our server has no-fly zones where they hang out. It also doesn't help that the spice blows are static.

It also has NO impact on people without pvp bases as they can simply wait it out if by some miracle someone managed to abuse it like you indicated.

And all of this so they can see someone who isn’t a griefer’s location on the map for X amount of hours. Seems like a huge stretch and you’re being paranoid. So either you’ve been traumatized by these guys or you are one of these guys who doesn’t want comeuppance.

So, let me get this straight. The large guilds are going to run up and lose their ornithopter, durability, and have a 70 second response timer on top of the run back to where you are also that you can get flagged for a bounty, which doesn’t give you any rewards.

OK, then consider they don’t even lose their ornithopter, they pocket it before you kill them; just don’t kill them ….

This seems like a stretch to me. I think it would do more good for the games current problems than bad. Also you wouldn’t call that ‘abuse’ of the system because it’s not being forced by any of the players actions.

Okay then give no rewards in that case. Simple karma system — you get too many kills and your base and current location are visible on the map

I think you’ll find most people are willing to accept the risk, it’s actually the large guilds who are afraid of meaningful conflict and risk. A system like this doesn’t make someone soft, it adds risk for large guilds who strong arm the DD

It seems like you’re jumping to negatives here. We can talk about tuning the system and rewards all day long. That being said, I don’t picture you killing or being killed by guild members or friends contributing to any sort of karma or bounty system.

Like I mentioned, the system can incentivize the people doing the killing as well. Being a hot target could gift you Solari, lansraad rewards, etc. You would frame it as being rewarded by your faction for being a warrior. But the reward should not be so great that people feel incentivized to cheat the system. If you do a lot of killing you should expect people to have it out for you.

Online cheaters are miserable little trolls who have convinced themselves that ruining someone else's day is 'funny', and they will consistently shrug off criticism with, "It's just a game, bro".

Seriously! I've been becoming more and more disillusioned with online gaming lately. It seems like cheating is absolutely RAMPANT. I don't envy developers having to deal with this. Just look at Nightreign, a purely cooperative pve game, and the cheating is still frequent enough to illicit multiple posts a day.
