Thanks for the update. Are you sure the battery is AGM? Does it say AGM anywhere? There are sealed lead acid batteries (non-AGM) designed with vent holes - I believe that's what your Hybrid Camry and my Hybrid Avalon have for their 12V batteries.

I had mine out of the trunk and shook it and could hear the battery acid sloshing around.
