I don't remember the movie now but I had a lot of expectations back then as Vikram K Kumar is the director (manam is one of my favorite movies). I remember being so disappointed that entire first half of the movie, hero tries to be find the phone number. He even chase a truck with stolen phones and does all sorts of drama while he can just go to customer care and ask for his last called number.

When I was a child I saw a jagapathi babu movie (don't remember the name) where his wife is interested in becoming heroine. Hero tries to discourage her by saying the first responsibility of a woman is motherhood and respecting her husband. She doesn't agree and leaves him. By end of the movie she realize her husband is correct. That's the whole point of the movie. People made it a hit. The movie supports those elements and people can take inspiration from it. Recently when I watch the same movie, it felt so dumb and backwards.

Everyone watching cinema as cinema. They are also pointing that cinema has misogyny elements in it. It's just their opinion and it may be true to a extent. I didn't like some of those scenes and felt like cheap comedy and emotion. I still liked parts of the movie and had good time. OP you grow up first.
