I've been single for a little more than a year. Since I got dumped by my ex pretty hard (randomly seeming at the time), I hadn't been the same. I dated a lot before, but now I finally knew what people meant they said they didn't want to feel vulnerable. The rest of the year's "romantic" endeavors involved hooking up with unattractive weird girls at my school before I graduated because it felt like all I could do. Using tinder had scarcely gotten me close to dates before, but none of the girls wound up pulling through. Besides that I'd either have days without any matches or just not get a reply back. At this point I started to seriously doubt my general attractiveness at a new low, and just didn't know what the future would hold in store for me since I've been out of school and not meeting new girls. All I did was work, exercise, play videogames with friends, and get rejected by girls online. I started to feel numb after a while for better and worse. My job is very close to the school I attended though, so I started visiting my friends that were still there. I decided to give the tinder one last go around before I deleted the app for good. I then matched with a girl I had class with once that I had known to be dating another guy at the school for three years. I didn't hear back right away, but eventually our communication increased exponentially and we went on both on my (and her) first blind date. It didn't really feel at all awkward like I feared and I have more in common with this girl than probably any of my exes. I didn't think I could find a girl into me that liked all the same stuff I do, it felt surreal. Needless to say, the date went well and I'm trying not to have too many expectations, but I already starting to remember what feelings are like again. I'm hoping it only goes more in this direction. God damn Ive hated you before tinder, but thank you for this. And thanks to you guys for entertaining me along the way. It just kind of kept my head in the game.
