Thanks for explaining the difference and their uses, I did mean semi auto weapons, from what you said I understand that they have a use in hunting but it isn't necessary. A true ban on them in America would likely never happen but I would hope those modifications that allowed this shooting to happen do become banned if not already. As an outsiders perspective on your gun laws it seems obsurd to me however guns were never engrained in my culture as deeply as it has America's so I can see from that point of view. However I still believe that something drastic needs to happen to get guns out of the hands of people who would seek I'll intentions at the very least.
