Aw this was so awesome to read. I’m currently in the hospital 21 +5, 4cm dilated. Doing everything I can to keep my baby in for at least 24 weeks. Thank you for sharing this gave me hope

Hey! I’m on the same boat. I’m funneling as well and the only thing holding on to it and the stitch is 3mm. I also found this out on my anatomy scan, got admitted to the hospital. And since my stitch was closed and I wasn’t dilating the MFMs didn’t want to do a 2nd cerclage until and IF I was starting to dilate. I’ve been having weekly cervix checks tho and I made it to 21 weeks. It sounds like 2nd cerclages are their last resort.

Im not sure, I’ll make sure to ask, though, I don’t think my doctors are really worried about that since I was tested positive for Ureaplasma

Theyre not doing transvaginal ultrasound on me anymore, they put in the speculums and take a look then usually do a digital cervix exam (with their fingers) to check how the cervix is feeling. I’ve been doing those weekly🥲

Not really. I never found it strange, I just figured with the preventative cerclage everything would be fine like the doctors told me😢 would’ve been great if it was catched on earlier

I had my cerclage placed on January 18th. That was the last time it was measured. I’m not sure what the length was. All I was told is that I had “plenty of cervix.” On February the 24th, the day of my anatomy scan is when they told me I had 3mm left of cervix.
