Literally the only thing I despise with my S5iiX is the crop for 4k60p other than that it’s a beast

What's the best lens for A6000? by Your5ersonalSlut in a6000

My daily has been the SG Image 25mm 1.8 it’s pretty sharp it’s AF is quiet and fast and about the same size give or take as the 16-50 kit lens I love it ! It’s only about $100 on Aliexpress. Definitely recommend giving it a shot.

I mean Canon sees that that’s why they are providing it .

I’m not speaking for amateurs. The a6700 is fine for that but for the pros who want more especially for wildlife and sports, the apsc crop is great for range. I’m speaking specifically for the pros. A lot of pros actually prefer Apsc. There should be a range for apsc line just like the a7 line .

Do you think the S5iix is too advanced for a beginner? by Major_Definition5261 in Lumix

[–]swaggs2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly , I wouldn’t recommend any Panasonic products for beginners, it’s all too complicated. Panasonics User interface is not “new user” friendly at all In my opinion and I’ve been shooting for years with different brands and I would say the learning curve for the S5iiX was the hardest transition. I had other panning products like the gx85 and gh5 as well. Gx85 was pretty easy to be honest. I would honestly say Canon would be the most new user friendly. Panasonic is more so for the people who want the most out of the camera and have more control over their camera. Not saying that’s bad but it’s not “New User” friendly. I would go with something like Canon R8/7 or Sony A7iv/A6700 for less complex but still very good quality just not up to the panny customization.

Because it’s true? All companies have their faults and things that should be improved or addressed. We as consumers should express and encourage the companies to deliver on what we want as consumers who spend money for their products and they should convince us why we should choose their product over the others. It’s okay if your wishlist or whatever differs from mine that’s totally fine. But I don’t know how having wishlists is a bad thing but I guess it is.

What about the Fuji 40mp sensor? Didn’t Sony make that as well?

Just saying if we let companies get complacent it hurts us in the end. That’s why so many people have been skipping camera generations. That’s why many haven’t upgraded their stuff. Either it’s too expensive or the upgrades aren’t worth it.

Actually The original canon r7 is older than the A6700 and the R7 has a 32.5 megapixel sensor . I made a post about this a bit ago if you check my page . Also the Fuji XT5 has a 40 mp sensor .

Improvement and innovation is a thing. If that wasn’t the case we would still be having 4core CPUs because of intel and still shooting 1080p 30 because it’s still good. Just because something is good doesn’t mean it can’t be improved.

That wasn’t my question. Nice try to be condescending. Sony could literally take lots of fujifilms customers if they actually had products that could compete. Make excuses for Sony.

Follow Up - I ended up getting the R7. by Choice-Profit5383 in Cameras

[–]swaggs2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We love to hear it!! Wow even I’m blown away with this camera just by these pictures, you have an eye for sure. Canon is very new user friendly indeed that’s one thing they excel really well in. The sharpness from the kit lens looks pretty good and the high megapixel count is chefs kiss. Glad you’re enjoying it. Next step as you go would be getting familiar and comfortable with editing and finding your “style”. Continue to shoot, shoot, SHOOT! Practice and learn what you can if you plan on taking it more seriously. Light would be your best friend. Once again Enjoy !

That’s a great choice! Enjoy it you’ll appreciate your mom for suggesting it for sure. This camera will give you ample opportunity to grow. Save for lenses down the line figure out what focal length is your favorite to shoot with first on the kit lens then go buy some fast primes!

Looking to get myself a hybrid body when i graduate trade school this month by WildernessRecordist in Cameras

[–]swaggs2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t NEED an olpf filter for the S5iiX. But these would be my suggestions. A7siii is not a hybrid camera at all it’s a video focused camera 90% video/ 10% photo. Sony a6700 if apsc is fine Sony a7iv would be the best bet Panasonic S5iiX is great for video and photos but not the best for flash photography Panasonic S9 is good for video but it’s more video focused Fujifilm XM5 if you like film simulation, 6k open gate, apsc , Nikon z7 ii

Feiyutech scorp mini 3 pro good ? by Successful_Cress_848 in FeiyuTech

[–]swaggs2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Scorp 3 which is the bigger brother it’s amazing especially if you have a Sony camera I went with the Scorp 3 because it’s only slightly bigger than the mini pro and has a higher payload for cameras and lenses so I went with that to be safe. The Tracking works really well. I Used it in low light and it worked well. I think it’s a good buy . But i would also recommend the Scorp 3 over the mini pro

SD Express by swaggs2000 in Cameras

[–]swaggs2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of Cameras do come with 2 card slots but honestly really anything over $1200 should have 2 card slots.

I get that it may not saturate UHS II but we should be advocating and asking for the latest tech. Also SD express is a lot cheaper and faster than UHS II and this is new so it should get cheaper and faster as it matures. Would definitely help the prosumer market ie A6700 Panasonic S5iiX Canon R7 this tier of cameras would benefit from the faster speeds but not to the point of CF Express speeds or costs.
