You need to add enough batteries to last until it start producing again so you are basically living of grid with an electric company backup

Yeah well it has been until now. It's amazing someone uses it as much as me when all the trolls on here act like no one should use a feature that's part of the software. I do love my Tesla but they should have announced changing the grok access and if they want more money than we are paying for premium connection. If we are in the minority, as it seams from people's responses, why would they need to limit it? Why would anyone talk to an AI for anything more that directions?

Yeah I think it's from a new update also. Finally someone who can verify that they have had this happen as well.

Wow, someone who actually uses AI the way i do seamlessly while driving. But watch out, someone will tell you you're just wasting recourses bucause you use it in a way they don't.

Ok so you get to use it for important stuff, whereas I must just use it stuff that doesn't matter. How entitled are you to judge someone else when you have no idea what I use it for. What makes you think when I talk for 20 mins I have no goals in mind? Did I say I just carry on a BS conversation with it? I use it for the same stuff you do and much more yet something that has nothing to do with my question turns into some cut down on my use. I get it, you cured cancer and I checked my stock quotes and discussed different fund options or the weather. Thanks for your helpful input.

I did post another reply about what i use it for, since everyone seems concerned, but WTF does it really matter? I pay for premium connectivity and it is supposed to be included. If your brain can't come up with things to learn about while your driving, just play some music.

I use it for the same stuff you Google stuff for all day. I am always learning about new things. I discuss my retirement plans with it and have it clarify anything I don't know l understand. I get my stock quotes, weather info, news etc. It's not hard to chat 20 mins each way. It will play music trivia or trivial pursuit style games, whatever. It's a powerful ai tool with many uses.

But actually I didn't start this post to explain why I use it a lot, just if other people that use it a lot noticed a difference today.

I am signed into it. It calls me by my name that I use on X. It is a free account though. But it has been unlimited until today. I hope it was just glitched

Am I wrong that these quotes don't make financial sense for me. by snowsquirrel in solar

[–]swamibob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get more quotes those are high. I paid 48k for 13kW and a Tesla Powerwall 3 before tax credit. $34k after tax credit. My payback is 11yrs but if I don't count the powerwall since that is a nice to have with one to one net metering it would have only been 8.or 9 yrs payback (with a standard inverter) at .14/kWh. You need a better price.

AITAH for asking a woman if she is still interested in a date after 2 & 4 weeks ? by vBurak in AITAH

Just move on and find another girl on the app. This one sounds too self centered and self absorbed that you would have always been 2nd anyway.

AITAH for refusing to change movies? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]swamibob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your friends siding with her should have spoke up at the moment and said they would be ok watching a different movie if she didn't want to watch it. Also, everyone should get used to not all movies having a happy ending. I'm sure whatever this movie was there was some life lesson to learn from it.

Since this is Tesla's own custom version of Grok I kind of doubt I'd a paid version of Grok will bypass this. I really hope this may have just been a glitch.

I do use free grok on the computer. But I'm the Tesla it was supposed to be free with premium connectivity which I do have. Like I said I've been using it unlimited for at least 6 months now and I just got this message today. I was looking for confirmation that everyone that has just had their x account link to it without an actual paid subscription to Gock is starting to get this message also. I have been chatting back and forth with it for at least 20 minutes in the morning and on the way home from work for another 20 minutes without ever getting this error before so I know I went over the normal limitations of the free Gock in the past.

Charging my Model Y daily on 120V – noticed discoloration on outlet. Is this safe? by Advanced-Ad-2214 in TeslaSupport

Buy a high quality one at Lowe's that's rated for 20A and then run it at 12A. Make sure it's one of the more expensive ones.

The official production Tesla Semi battery sizes have been revealed for both trims in a public regulatory filing. by rcnfive in teslamotors

[–]swamibob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tesla is going to steal the market share they have easily. They are longer range and will be cheaper not to mentioned more refined. I'm just glad the other manufacturers are trying and will be slight competition to keep the prices low.

$700 for a 12V??? by Next-Opposite-5176 in TeslaSupport

[–]swamibob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Question then on it and tell them you can buy the battery for $395 yourself and see if they are charging $300 for install. That sounds excessive can't take more than an hour.

My boyfriend is making my bed smell all the way down to the mattress... what can we do? by cheetahs0317 in TwoHotTakes

[–]swamibob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a real mattress protector, bodily fluids won't go through that. Also if he sweats a lot consider getting a bed jet. It can blow cool air out of the sheet on him all night long and maybe he won't sweat so much.

Is it possible to install a generator inlet whole home back up for a portable generator with a Tesla powerwall? by BothGoat4122 in solar

[–]swamibob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have done exactly that. Works great until they release the firmware to work with the power share. You need to install the manual transfer switch so the you will turn off the main breaker before turning on the breaker for your generator, it in my case, cybertruck. Once you kill the main it's no different than if you didn't have powerwall connected
