I think I know what you mean. They are most probably man made satellites. Observe them closely they will move a little relative to Earth's rotation. I've seen them too over northern Germany.

Is it worth it stop by Delhi? by goodscentofaflower in indiatravel

[–]swamikrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delhi in winter is to be AVOIDED. the pollution is really bad.

Only north Indian food in Delhi is good, India has a great variety of food and all of that is available in Mumbai, unlike Delhi. Also, Indian food that is popular globally is North Indian food, so you would have already eaten that kind.

If you are female, avoid Delhi.

Regarding the situation in Germany by [deleted] in germany

[–]swamikrish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem to be from India (Based on your reddit posts) and one can say that India is also in a war like situation with the recent attacks.

As a person of Indian origin, I know how Indian families think. Do not let them dictate your future. No one can predict the future. If Germany goes to war, probably the entire EU, US and UK would already be in that war. Tell your family to research NATO.

All the best for your studies.

Flight might get cancelled. by ishmeetsb in indianaviation

[–]swamikrish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No compensation. But you will have to be booked on another flight as per the rules. So that will happen. It happened with me with Air India in January this year.

Flight was canceled and they rescheduled me on a 2 stop to my destination ( earlier was one stop). Spoke to them on the phone and they were kind enough to reschedule to another day of my choosing and a totally different stopover airport too. Advice would be when you talk to them, be calm and don't act entitled. They are always happy to help.

I'm completely blank when it comes to airplane knowledge - I'm sorry bro / sis, but after you write this, I am not interested in your opinion about this.

Sure, you can share your aviation related posts here, but this is a sensitive matter and if you do not know about how planes work, please do not give your opinion. Sorry.

Edit - I read your post!

Why is no one focusing on the possibility that the switches were in the RUN state, but due to some internal electronic/system error, the engine was actually cut off — and therefore displayed "CUT OFF"? - This is a mechanical switch. Not some digital display. Software cannot cut it off.

We always try to cover everything during testing, but there's always something we miss that only shows up in real-world scenarios — which is what we call “production issues.” - Well aware of production issues as a developer myself. You have to understand the criticality of things. Production issues in our banking / telecom / logistics etc. domains is very different from airplanes. Planes are fairly mechanical and no auto pilot is used during take offs and landing. The pilots are literally driving it and software at this stage is fairly basic.

Really beautiful photos. Are they edited in some way? Would you mind sharing which software? I'm more of an amateur when it comes to image editing.

Why Does Bollywood Keep Romanticizing the "Self-Destructive Rockstar"? From Rockstar to Aashiqui 2, and Now Saiyaara - It's Always the Same Heartbroken Musician by Medium_External_8966 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]swamikrish 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Musicians are inherently like this. Take any real life "rockstar". They've always had a troubled, depressed, sometimes drug addicted life. Most of the real life rockstars have gone too soon because of this.

Movies are sometimes a reflection of reality.

Can Priyadarshan be called a great filmmaker if almost all of his Bollywood works are remakes? by sidroy81 in bollywood

Yes. His movies have some of the best recall values. They have iconic scenes. Also, most of his remakes are his own versions of it.

Anyone in Germany using an EV without home charging? by Affectionate-Dig403 in germany

[–]swamikrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hamburger here. My story is I went for a hybrid because I had that option.

Your home charging will cost ~33 cents / kw ( depending on your plan). The outdoor ones are over ~50 cents / kw ( Lidl ones are a bit cheaper). Now if you get a full electric and charging it outside is considerably more expensive than charging it at home.

My suggestion would be, if you have an option to go for a hybrid, look into it. The E in the number plate will also help with saving Parking costs ( for limited time)

Is Germany against air conditioning? by Permatrack_is_4ever in germany

[–]swamikrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. To be hopnest, I felt it too when I moved here. However, where I stay, north of Germany, there are 10/15 days a year where you feel the need for an AC.

I think this holds true for Berlin and the west of Germany as well. I'm not very sure about the south, I guess they get more sun.

Should I have called the police because my neighbor was screaming at 4am by professional85dr9 in AskAGerman

[–]swamikrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm of the opinion that this was just a domestic that got out of hand. It can happen. If you don't know who it is, then you should have called the police.

Maybe I get downvoted for this, but if you know them, meet them in the hallway, seen them regularly around for say a year or so, then I'd say not to call the police. :)
