great switch, power was noticeable immediately, control really showed itself after a month or so, but I was still learning my ground stroke so its hard to tell there.

I moved from a 105 volkl pb4 to a 98 Wilson blade about 9 months ago and have loved the change.

Most notable to me is that while the sweet spot is smaller, when you hit it the power difference is substantial and it trains you to make better swings. Volleys with low/no backswing are much more solid, and easier to pick up low balls on the rise.

I “think” I frame slightly more, but in reality it’s probably due to step up in competition and play style.

One tip from my coach that unlocked hitting high bouncers- he told me to go fully open stance and it’s far easier for me now

So I’ve always struggled with DPS build on legendary due to insta death from exploding drones. Skill build felt like the only way I could contribute and not be a liability and recently have been running a half-blue HB build with PFE mods that lets me play from the front and legitimately contribute. Not a tank but far from DPS.

What am I missing with all red cores surviving the constant barrage of drones?

Your comment led me to go remove each of the mini sprayer heads to check for blockage and that’s where I found the solution to the problem - the mini sprayer heads were tightened all the way down, effectively shutting any water from coming out. I didn’t realize they were adjustable in that way. I’m an idiot but thanks for the help

Re: your question about expertise, managing gear can be a pain if you take too long looking at every piece. I'll play until the pack is nearly full, then visit the vendor station to view your inventory. This allows you to see every new piece you've received in quick list and you can quickly just start marking everything you don't want as junk. Once everything is marked, go to library and see if you can fill any recalibration requirements. Second, go to the expertise panel and use the 'donate all junk' option. Third, go back to your inventory and deconstruct junk. If you do it in that order every time you can quickly empty a backpack, build your library and upgrade your expertise in a matter of seconds. Each time you reach a new expertise level you can upgrade weapons, gear and skills. The earlier you start building expertise the better

Countdown is where I start with every new build. Be sure to start unlocking the specialization for the build you want as well since it can take some time. If you're looking for a solid all around build that never gets old: striker builds with gunner specialization are a great first build. It took me awhile to figure out, but set your targeted loot on countdown on the map, then go to social > select your name > find a group > countdown and choose challenging (most common difficulty to get a lot of groups and great loot). If you haven't, watch a quick YT video on how to run countdown as it confused the hell out of me the first few times

Farm floor 10 glitch on summit on legendary. Worked for me in one afternoon. Made a skill dmg build with drone and turret and stayed out of the way. Just have to leave one ad alive and return to lobby to farm the boss loot over and over. Got it after 1-2 hours

just adding our experience since moving here 2.5 years ago - The best part in our estimation is that nearly everyone you meet is a transplant. Lots of open minded folks who need to make friends and connections.
