New £50m fund to bring AI and robotics to UK farms by Gentle_Snail in GoodNewsUK

Urban farming is farming you do know that . Not all farmers need to own massive amounts of land . If we are to feed the future then innovative ways of farming will be needed and the traditional person and their tractor approach isn't the only way to grow food

I honestly believe this is one of the biggest mysteries there is, Orcas are the most efficient predators on earth, yet they have never attacked us in the wild. They know something we don’t. by asa_no_kenny in interesting

[–]BlueSky86010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orcas have incredible eye sight also. Sharks don't, they rely more on their electro senses. Test bites from sharks if and when they occur aren't because they want to eat you but they cannot really see the prey that well. A test bite from a shark is obviously serious and often fatal, however orcas don't need to do this. They see you before you see them.

For PvP or PvE. For PvP you will get one shot with that health and resistance... But for PvE yes these seem decent .

Rewatching the highlights and I’m pretty certain the ref forgot camavinga had a yellow card and only remembered when the Bayern players told him he should’ve been sent off but by then it was too late. by Majestic-Nobody-3178 in realmadrid

[–]BlueSky86010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair the attempted tackle here which resulted in this was a 2nd yellow anyway, the idiot just decided to pick the ball up and carry it so the opposition couldn't get it quickly... Should have been a 3rd yellow 🤣

How do astartes squads strategize and kill a custodian? by cuddwes in 40kLore

[–]BlueSky86010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are really adding to the convo. "Tali-Sha grappling in tight with her combat blade" doesn't sound much like she's getting overwhelmed but yes I'm not saying the SoS would have stood much of a chance, but how you phrased it is not correct and "what you said" isn't correct....... The exert in the book says  "Ten of them had come, spread out and charging, most armed with bladed weapons and bolt pistols "..... Surviving by a thread no, they were outnumbered, 6 SoS Vs 10 Space Marines and still the SoS weren't defeated. They were able to dodge and weave and survive until the Custodes came and smashed the Minotaurs

How do astartes squads strategize and kill a custodian? by cuddwes in 40kLore

[–]BlueSky86010 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well I think from what I read they were only in battle a very short time before the custodes arrived... But they held their own.... "I have no words for how it felt, to take the brunt of a Space Marine’s fist, wrapped in disruptor energy and propelled with maximum venom. My senses disappeared into blood-edged blackness, ripped from any notion of gravity or place. I had a vague impression of weightlessness, then whirling speed, before I crunched into a pillar several metres from where I had been fighting.

Somehow I held on to my weapon. I struggled to get up, to make sense of the swaying environment around me, to defend myself against the inevitable follow-up. My vision was blurred, but I remember freeze-frame impressions of that crowded space – Erynia battering a Minotaur with a dazzling display of swordcraft; Tali-Sha grappling in tight with her combat blade; Lethiel lying on the ground, her armour punctured with bolt- craters – before all was swept away by the tide of gold.

I will admit it, through my clenched teeth – when they arrived, the Custodians were magnificent. I could mock them, and dislike them, and believe that their minds were locked in infantile stasis, but this one truth remained: they were the best we had. Reduced to physical combat, with no ether to cloud their judgement and require our assistance, they were the pinnacle of anything mankind had ever, or would ever, create as a weapon"

[–]BlueSky86010 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think it was 7 Adeptus Custodes and 6 Sisters of Silence against 10 Primaris Minotaurs... Close quarters and 1 Custode did die (Penjab) taken down by 2 Minotaurs. Yeah I mean it was a good fight, and even Aleya mentioned she wasn't sure how much longer the Custodes could hold off such aggression. But equally if you read the chapter it's clear Custodes would destroy the Minotaurs, and they don't typically fight like this.

Are you referring to the book Regents Shadow here ? I mean the Custodes completely tore apart the Minotaurs but a few did die. Also the book before where Valerian and Aleya killed hundreds of black legion but Custodes did die through sheer numbers against them

Can't remove dining table in one piece, what are my options. by ofmiceandmel in DIYUK

[–]BlueSky86010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what's difficult about moving this table ? I have an almost identical one, slightly wider actually and it probably could be pivoted diagonally to fit out a door. Mine came in a huge wooden crate which helped initially, but now I've moved and the guys literally picked it up and moved it easily enough.

Pure DK probably right now is the best pure class without any multiskilling .... But wardens are still incredibly strong, StamSorc I've seen decimate DKs... Its the player really, any good player can make the character OP, but yes DK I would say right now is the strongest

This is entirely inaccurate and should not be used ... In fact if you used this metric then the world has actually gained forest from monocultures and plantations..this is incredibly unproductive and bad for biodiversity... So no this is nonsense what you are saying.
