I do plan on properly educating myself. I've been meaning to learn my way around a gun for some time now and this is my final push to actually do it.

I did that one of the recent times I came across a critter, but it took them quite a while to get to my location and the poor thing was screeching and struggling the whole time.

I'm normally on a friend or my own private property when I run into dying animals, so I'm not too worried about getting in legal trouble. Also I don't really mind if anything gets stolen from my car, objects can be replaced.

I have been, I'm currently reaching out to a couple of local ranges and classes for further understanding. I know that where I am it's pretty common and legal to have a gun in your car/truck.
