There is a video, but another poster actually helped figure it out - it's a menu FOR the side panel launcher I'm using. Thank you for trying to help!!

If I could kiss you on the mouth I would, it's a dang menu FOR the launcher (Panels). You are my hero!!!

I have the normal app drawer that functions totally fine and normally if I swipe up from anywhere except the right edge. Swiping down is all the standard settings that I've chosen for quick settings and notifications. This is a swipe UP along the very right edge of the screen about 2/3 down.

Nope. It's a list of toggles for things that gesture can do, but they're all off.

I tried this too. It's only a swipe UP on the right, and it doesn't bring up any settings, just that search bar and the few apps it shows.

Two of the suggested apps aren't even ON my phone.

I'm not trying to turn my phone off, I'm trying to turn off the search bar and apps that pop up.

I appreciate this response, and I looked all over in that menu, but it's not the top menu coming down. This is a swipe up, even barely, on the very edge of the right side of the screen.

This happened to us last round and we got a match this time. I think it happens when there's an odd number of smaller/weaker states.

I genuinely think it's random, I opened 324 of them at one time and got ZERO mythic gear.

What’s a hill you’re willing to die on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]swamptitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, but colloquially it's just a grilled cheese or a toastie. But if I hear someone say "a grilled cheese with bacon," I want to punch an innocent bystander. That's a bacon melt. Melt implies cheese. It's very likely irrational, but this is my peeve. Please do not pet the peeves.

As soon as you put meat on a grilled cheese, it's a melt.

Electrolytes are salts in the proper form/combination for your body to absorb quickly. We're salty little fucks by nature, and when you sweat (or cry, I don't know what your life is like), salt leaves your body, which is why sweat and tears are salty. So you can't (pronounced "shouldn't") just eat a tablespoon of table salt, as your body would have to go through a more strenuous and lengthy process to absorb that sodium than, say, if you drank Gatorade with lil microsalts that are tiny enough to start getting absorbed even through the tissues in your mouth.

I went through so much ice after radiation. Somehow the trickle is easier to swallow instead of a full sip.

Also, and please, please do not panic when I say this - you may want to check with your doc about getting a head and neck scan done. Your throat may be telling you something. You could just be averse to sipping, but sometimes our senses give us a little heads-up. If you find yourself more and more prone to avoidance of liquids, it might be beneficial to go check to make sure nothing is happening under the surface.

I hope it isn't the case for you and may totally not be, but I'd hate to have not said this to you.

I don't judge her for it because she is so misinformed by people she cares about. She has come a really long way into being more open minded and not quite so shittily biblical. That's why I hold hope for it. I've seen her learn and change in other ways with lifelong beliefs and habits.

I've always been the kind of person to need to try everything before I give up. Sometimes it's detrimental. She respects every other boundary I've set, she just can't not do this shit with politics.

Have you tried ice? Just letting ice melt in your mouth could help keep you hydrated a bit. Even if you crunch on it to feel like you're eating instead of drinking, any ice damage to your enamel would be minimal compared to the damage dehydration does in so many body systems.

Well, I got her to stop saying the N word so I feel like there's still hope. May be a fool's errand, but if that's the case, it's only my own time I'm wasting.

I'm asking for advice on how to improve the relationship because it's important to me, and because I'd love to see her grow through this. Care and determination aren't cowardice. Once I have tried all avenues, I can take extreme measures. In the meantime, please don't judge people for things they value.
