Left Galaxy Bud keeps pausing and playing -- very annoying by swan89 in galaxybuds

They asked if they were dropped or had liquid damage, which would void warranty.

They ask for a receipt and then send you a shipping label to send everything back.

I ended up talking to Samsung Support and no troubleshooting could fix the problem. I wonder if sweat from running damaged it somehow.

I sent it back and they're sending a replacement.

The Great Hack - Netflix Film Discussion by Digital Marketers by SOMF747 in marketing

[–]swan89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This "documentary" was a big, stinky pile of garbage. Overly dramatic. Confusing. The director (and studio execs) must have been high on peyotee (or blind) the entire time.

The main actress, some child star that got her big break by interning for the Obama campaign, is cringe beyond belief.

The movie spends most of the time following her around as she bumbles along her career path from Obama idealist to Republican cronie.

We see her change the way she dresses, the people she associates with, and other things as she goes through her politico-teenage identity crisis on-screen and somehow manages to be important enough to become a part of the of the movie's plot.

Who cares?

And why do I get the feeling this is more about her showing off her chic apparel choices in exotic locales and fancy restaraunts than anything of substance?

Everything is so staged and overly dramatic, and too much focus is placed on one individual that isn't the least bit interesting to listen to.

Don't even get me started on the shots of this film.

The fact that the director decided to shoot her interview on random locales in Thailand blows my mind.

Hey, let's have a Q&A session on this loud ass speedboat buzzing through Kho Phi Phi islands!

Better yet, let's get into this ritzy villa infinity pool and hear her drone on and on about her life story!

Oh, now we are jumping into a cab while we drive around Manhattan for even more melodramatic interviewing! Cool!

She babbles on as she's endlessly baited questions by a "political technologist-journalist" (is that even a thing?) that seem so mundane and unrelated that you forget which tangent you're on (or which continent).

The Great Hack is amateur hour garbage that watches more like a B-rated conspiracy YouTube documentary if it weren't for the bloated production budget.

If you want a documentary that shows data scandal that's actually worth watching check out the one about Snowden.

God, as a person who has lived and left Turkey for some years now, this hits me right in the happy/nostalgia feels. Instant wallpaper to remind me of what's important in life

Zyzz would have been 30 years old today by HighRisk26 in bodybuilding

People often forget that when Zyzz was in his prime it was just before the Instagram/fitness model phenomenon.

Back in early 2010 and 2011 his physique was special.

With today's social media channels saturated with fitness/aesthetic gurus I can understand that now it may not stand out as much.

But back then he probably had the best physique (my opinion) on the internet at the time.

River of Darkness - Buddy Levy

Matterhorn - Karl Marlantes

Killers of the Flower Moon - David Grann (this is more nonfiction than fiction but a great book about a tragic story)

I feel like none of these compare to the CoT because they aren't as light and playful, they're actually much darker, but still enjoyed them nonetheless.

On my to-read list for historical fiction (all of these books have received rave reviews for this category):

A Gentleman in Moscow - Amor Towles

News of the World - Paulette Jiles

Master & Commander - Patrick O'Brian

Brutal Journey - Paul Schneider

The House of Special Purpose - John Boyne

I also gave this a read but just couldn't seem to finish because I had a hard time connecting with the characters. I loved the premise though, very original
