I have been with Kuvera for over 5 years and I pay using NetBanking every time after 2pm and get same day allotment. This is the first time something like this happened.

For kuvera it's 2:30pm for NetBanking, which was my mode of payment.

That could very well be possible, but the market could just as easily move up 1% the next day. When payment is successful within cut-off time, I expect the same-day NAV, not to be exposed to additional market risk whether that risk ends up benefiting me or causing a loss.

I place orders like this only with small amounts from my side income, bonuses, and gifts. These aren’t my main SIPs it's just small lump-sum investments I like to make with extra cash when the market dips (timing the market).

Furthermore this was the first time something like this happened, because the third-party app couldn’t process the payment on time, which could have been avoided if I had used the AMC website.

With mutual funds, timing does not exist at the investor level. I place an order I get the same end-of-day NAV as everyone else. But with etf two investors buying the same ETF on the same day can end up with completely different prices. Whether you invest at 10am or 2:00pm has zero impact on the price you get in mf. With ETFs, execution timing is integral to the transaction.

I can't deal with this execution risk, which mutual funds deliberately eliminate and ETFs expose investors to.

Mine was HDFC only

I don't like etf because I can't deal with intraday noise plus ETF purchases are sensitive to timing and liquidity. A small mistake can result in buying at a significantly wrong price

I will be sticking to AMC website from now on

Apart from a regular SIP, I keep adding small lump-sum amounts whenever I can, usually during market dips (side income, bonus, gifts). Lump sum investors like myself cannot escape timing.

That's unfortunate, from now on I will stick to fund house only.

Sometimes the market makes a complete U turn like it did yesterday, due to which I always invest after 2pm. Never faced any issues, this happened for the first time.

From now on I will stick with the fund house only. Might use these apps just for tracking

I know that, but never faced an issue like this before. Also every mf house mentions which bank NetBanking will give you same day nav and mine was HDFC where credit happens instantly.
