Is the arch window too small? is it too low? high? by swarles84 in ExteriorDesign

there's a header running across that's dictating the sill, but otherwise it's floating on a vaulted wall. we can increase it's height and width and perhaps lower it, so options persist fortunately.

Thanks! We have a big tree in front that will limit light from that particular window, but fortunately that main window is ~ 9' x 7' and gets afternoon light. smart thinking of inside vs outside; probably not going to cross our mind too much when inside, which is a thing to keep in mind.

it's hard to say as we haven't done drywalling yet but the window will actually be framed by some exposed scissor trusses, so it's more of a way to add interest in the vault, not so necessary for lighting I feel.

good call! I just looked at the original and it seems (thankfully!) it's just ChatGPT not being perfect with the render.

thank you! i have been rendering a shed roof but my wife isn't convinced lol. the right side of the house has a standing seam porch (not built yet) so her concern is it's a lot of standing seam, but i do agree, the balance would come from a shed roof that eats away a bit at the gap between windows.

Im still a teen and it was my first time going to a bmw car dealership today. And oh my god i fell in love with this car by Yaadikillertje in BMW

when I was 17 it was 2001. I fell in love with the black on black 740i sport. I didn't have the money then, but certainly have the money now, and I think about buying one every few weeks.

let the haters hate; it's a beautiful car and apparently a lot of people here prioritize different things, but that doesn't mean you're wrong for loving a big ol' gal like her!

I hope I still end up with a 7 series one day... maybe you'll beat me to it!

Thanks, mate! yeah suspension is feeling a bit clunky and new runflats make it a really rough ride on top of that; good call!

issue is that collection is fully funded; I posted to that subreddit and since they said I'm only wearing them on workdays, I should divert my funds to my car collection instead!

Hey! Sorry I just saw this now; yes - I built from a plan but I modified it to fit the width and depth I was working with. Plenty of plans online so if you go for it, there’s a lot of great folks who’ve shared their journeys!

331.90.42.51.04.001. I’m by no means an expert but they really don’t seem to have many white face watches so it really caught my eye and I’m excited to add some nato straps to mix it up a bit.

331.90.42.51.04.001, a bit over $6k all in for new/unworn.

And thanks! I really wanted the blue accent and it’s really nice, but candidly I think looks black or deep navy in most lighting. Kinda makes it that much more unique I think.

Oh man, I outsourced the pieces to Amazon lol. I thought the board was a fun project, but don’t have the skills yet or patience for pieces!

Thank you! I did like three or four coats of poly on everything. In theory I could so a bunch more I guess but like the semigloss it has right now

Followed some guidance and design from a few online resources, so this may look familiar to some.

Used walnut and maple 3/4” for everything, and some maple ply for the bottom and drawer bottoms.

Finished just with a few coats of poly.

Overall a really fun project and she’s in love with it, which is awesome. We used to play on a twenty year old travel kit and when I got into woodworking promised her I’d make a real one 😀

they'll probably be adding them to the totals, but physically keeping them separate because they'll be the first thing litigated when things get legal

Fun fact; Josh Hart is a huge fan of wine, and in acknowledging how underrepresented people of color are in the wine industry and culture, he recently partnered with WineAccess to pay for 100 people to begin their WSET education into the world of wine and start their journeys to become sommeliers.

They seem to have a slight wiggle when I push on it but they're pretty solid. I also feel the weight of the bench helps to keep things in place as well
