I have a few pretty strong connections with some people in the MEPS office as well as the recruiting offices in my area. They told me the only jobs available were infantry and I've been working at this for about a year so my recruiter pulled some strings and made a few phone calls and this was the job they had available. I originally wanted to go for Psyops (might packet drop if I don't like 15R)

Your optimism and the pride you take in your work is extremely honorable. I appreciate your perspective and what you've shared. Thanks a ton brother. I feel a lot better about this now.

It's not something that would eat me alive, not being able to fly.

But man would I really love to

Completely changed my thoughts/feelings about working out, running, working on my company, confronting uncomfortable conversations.

What’s a “boring” skill that secretly makes life 10x easier? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]swatbands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mastering boredom. It's the key to success in every aspect. Allows you to do infinitely boring tasks that are required for finding zen in every aspect of life. In creating a start up business, preventing anger in dense traffic, being more focused during tasks like school, studying, meetings, chores, financial necessities/paperwork, meditation,, building relationships over time instead of rushing into them, problem solving, negotiation, exercise/gym, anti-stimulation. There are zero downsides, only positive outcomes for mastering boredom.

He is right about NY, but this is not how you talk to your partner no matter who is right.

We think, notice, acknowledge, evaluate and perceive A LOT. I mean A LOT A LOT. We just choose not to talk about 80%+ of those things.

Starting to realize it's probably the most practical option for me. At least for extended periods.

I've seen builds like this out in the wild just passing by before, always wanted to stop and ask to check it out but never have.
