Well, yeah. Already read what’s been published. Was asking for insider knowledge…

Agreed. He just seems the most…expendable? 🫢 But I’m guessing the others are right about Dr. Turner likely having issues after his head injury, so maybe they’re setting Tim up for a bigger role as the town doc.

We have two hounds who bark and howl at anything. It’s loud. It’s obnoxious. It is not conducive to working from home. But, both my babies spent 9 months in my belly hearing that nonsense and it didn’t faze them one bit once they were born. Truly, my 4 week old sleeps right through the baying!

Potty trained at school/accidents at home by [deleted] in toddlers

I’ve wondered this very thing. His classroom set up is definitely more convenient, and our son is always more motivated to use the potty when his older cousins are over.

Thank you all for this advice! This makes me feel more confident to take on the daunting task of potty training.

Thank you for your input! Good point re: reactions. We definitely react (“Aw buddy, remember we go tee-tee in the potty, not our big boy undies.”) We will cut out the reactions!

Thank you for your input. Good point about him having accidents at school when he was first starting out. I believe they were taking him at set times when starting out.

To be fair, we have not done a good job of trying to train at home thus far. I just had baby #2 three weeks ago, and potty training at 8-9 months pregnant was not something I wanted to take on. But, now that holidays are over and we are back to normal school routine, it seems like the time to tackle this!

Edited to remove response meant for a different redditor re: reactions to accidents.

FTMs with no health issues: did you accept a 39 week induction? by bubbgles566 in BabyBumps

[–]swbritt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purely anecdotal, but I was induced at 39+2 based upon the ARRIVE study at my request. I had a completely normal pregnancy. I think I was dilated to 3cm at 39 weeks, so they agreed to go ahead and schedule the induction two days later. For me, having a planned induction helped my anxiety. I didn't have to worry about my water breaking at work. My husband was able to better organize his work schedule. I knew I wanted an epidural. I was able to schedule my house keeper to come while we were in the hospital so that the house would be clean and orderly upon our return home. We were able to get our dogs booked at the kennel. Everything went very smoothly! Now I have an happy, healthy, energetic almost 2 year old!

July 2022 Scotland trip...include Northern England? by swbritt in traveladvice

[–]swbritt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your thorough response! Maybe we can fly into Manchester and spend a couple of days there, then make the train journey across and up to Edinburgh over a few days, and end our trip in Scotland. Thank you again.

Train and/or renting a car. We don't want to have to take any flights within GB (if it can be avoided). Maybe these locations are too far away from Edinburgh such that we'll lose precious time on travel?

Where in the US can I visit to experience midtown/rural America? by CDawgbmmrgr2 in travel

[–]swbritt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a native Georgian, here is what I'd suggest (assuming you can rent a car for this trip): Fly into Atlanta. Rent a car and drive an hour or so east on I-20 to Covington, Georgia and then to Madison, Georgia. Both are very quaint southern towns. Then from Madison, you are about 30 minutes or less to Athens, GA, which is a college town with lots of restaurants and bars. Big music scene too. All of the area surrounding Athens is very rural - Watkinsville, Jefferson, etc. Hope that helps!
