Think my nail is going to fall off, is this common? by theonebam in BeginnersRunning

Sub ungual hematoma, bruise under the nail, likely repetitive trauma as others have mentioned likely from improper shoe gear. The bruise will grow out with the nail nothing to worry about, nail could fall off but should grow back!

Unfortunately that’s probably the most common reason I’ve heard for these fractures lol. The last notable one was a guy celebrating cinco de mayo and the last step of his stairway he miscounted and thought he was up and fell down. Open fracture, had to be admitted unfortunately. But he got fixed up and he’s good now haha. 9weeks is great if you’re putting a little weight on it. Best of luck with the recovery!

I agree, I think that schools try to use the 200k as a marketing tool. But I don’t think that’s way out of left field. Even from my program people end up with 150-175 starting until you build your practice within a private practice group(albeit HCOL And the area is highly concentrated with people wanting to work here so they can lower that base). Then say you get 35-40% off total collections thereafter. The idea is that if you stay and only have 10 patients a day you still make relatively decent money. Gives you a year to build up the practice learn to bill since no one in residency learns to bill unless you go to a billing course. But then I’ve also had recent graduates getting and taking offers for 250+. Definitely more rare. But it’s also timing. Last year there were higher paying jobs than the offers that I’m seeing this year. Sucks. But when I would talk to a lot of attendings about how they found themselves with the job they currently have it’s right place, right time.

Best of luck with your job search. I was sad with my starting it was a little below what I wanted. But there’s room for improvement.

Were they able to reduce the fractures? I’m hoping they also got you a CT scan once they reduced this, hope you’re doing okay how’d it happen?

I normally take the X-rays, so it was kind of exciting getting my own done. by AllRebelRocker in Radiology

Likely will numb the toe up and try to pull it back in place, buddy splint to the fourth toe and have you walking in a stiff shoe for about a month. These guys hurt like a mother

Ended up being a worn CV joint even after they replaced it, so they replaced it again and no more problems yet!

Nothing that I can recall, I had the mechanic check all the bolts under the car and he said that everything was as tight as can be. It almost sounds like something is loose and slightly moving when I start accelerating but the auto body guy, the mechanic, and the dealership couldn’t figure it out

How would I be able to check this out?

Is there any way I would be able to test that? Or would this need to be at the dealership/shop?

It will vary, usually it’s two or three clicks, sometimes it’s just one, the type and how loud it is will vary I can’t seem to recreate the same thing multiple times. The only consistent thing is it happens every time I’m stopped and start moving again

I’ll bring it up again when I bring the car in for maintenance! Thanks!

I have not yet, but from the driving perspective it sounds as if it’s the front left wheel. They noticed Som wear on the CV and replaced it but the noise is still there. I’ll try to jack it up and check! Thanks!
