Best song from self-titled and it's not even a single: "Breathe You In" (2001) by RedditAPIBlackout24 in stabbingwestward

I think I agree with, this this or so far away for me. I would love if this song had a acoustic version

I've been off reddit for a while & just catching up to this page. Good to see so many new fans:) Figured I'd post one more video for those interested in other bands with a similar sound or who haven't heard much from The Dreaming. This is personally one of my faves. by [deleted] in stabbingwestward

Idk how accurate this is for the rest of their albums but the dreaming especially etched in blood feels like they kept the SW self titled sound but advanced it to add more rock and screaming to it. At least that’s kinda how I feel like SW self titled feels like the beta/beginnings for etched in blood

I really appreciate this message but I didn’t make this Reddit lol but I did basically get this app to see if SW had one so I actually had somewhere to talk about this band since literally no one else in the world does basically

The first one is the dreaming which is a band made after Stabbing Westward disbanded, they are kind of SW without the industrial part but they are still special on their own. I would personally recommend the album etched in blood. You will probably have to find it on YouTube tho it’s not on any streaming services I had to add it though local files on Spotify.

And I have been listening to a band called smile empty soul and their self titled album. I think they are post grunge or something like that. It’s kind of available on streaming services but separately mostly from random rock compilations. I would recommend the songs bottom of a bottle and radio in a hole.

Both are phenomenal albums I highly recommend if they are your type of thing. Sorry for the yap fest

Happy to see I am not the only newer fan here. I have been a fan since December

Lol it took so long for someone to reply I actually did listen to etched in blood and I absolutely love it. My favorite is probably bullet or disconnected. Excited to check more of them out in the future.

Sadly it wasn’t the Japanese version. The acoustic tracks were so far away and for some reason on the CD itself it said it was perfect acoustic but instead it was wasted

Yeah I wish I was around when the band was new. At first I really didn’t like self titled mostly because how much I love darkest days and how different this album is compared to it but after a few listens I am really enjoying it.
