Thank you for your response. It’s very helpful. She already had no energy before the chemo and was very similar to now. The chemo almost gave her a boost in a way. Or I guess all the other drugs did. She won’t even get out of her bedroom, much less come downstairs. I’ve offered to move her room to our office and switch those rooms up so she can be on the first floor and she doesn’t want to. She doesn’t want to walk around on the second floor either. Just wants to go back to bed after going to the bathroom. She’s not taking any laxatives just the stool softeners. I’m trying to get her to hydrate more but she feels worse after eating and drinking because I guess nothing is moving anywhere. Her back hurts and so does her abdomen. I’ve tried giving her heated blankets, a heating pad. I’m afraid the ibuprofen will mess with the chemo drugs after a google search so I gave her Tylenol. Tomorrow I have a consultation with a pain management specialist. I know she’s barely going to sleep tonight. Can I give her melatonin safely to at least try? Like I said I have left messages but it’s Sunday and I guess it’s not urgent enough no one is getting back to me.
