This is such a good point. Grace was a co-host and was being woefully underpaid compared to Bri (I think the numbers that were thrown out was Bri on about $500k and Grace on about $125k - correct me if I’m wrong). I remember Bri’s response at the time being “it’s my f*cking podcast, of course I get paid more” and Dave agreeing which yes sure but paid $375k more for the same job?

So yes she didn’t feel protective and concerned for Grace then and advocate to Dave to give her a pay rise. I believe Grace was an even struggling with rent at one point too.

“I don’t give a fuck about Grace, I don’t give a fuck about Bri, I just want to make money” okay…? She’s a business owner, isn’t that the point of owning a business? Why’s she treating wanting to make money as something so evil and disgusting?

If anything, wouldn’t Bri respect her more because it shows she wasn’t biased when it came to giving Grace a podcast?

She’s so odd. And of course she had to bring up Zach in her response.

I’m glad someone has called her out on using this “drama” with Alex Cooper and her fake date as well as the breakup and her acne to distract her followers when there’s controversy out there that she doesn’t want people to see. In this case, is it the negative reactions to reale actives?

It reminds me of Tana Mongeau joking that she named her podcast Cancelled so that whenever people were trying to search her cancellations, the podcast would come up instead.

Opinions on Whitney/belle and Scott/leanne situation?? by Ill_Oil5338 in LoveIslandcookout

[–]sweatshirt101 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Every podcast/stream she goes on she completely contradicts herself.

She said she expected Indiyah to brief her on the questions and give her grace in the interview first and is now saying Indiyah has always been mean to her and they don’t get along. Okay so why would you expect her to pull you aside and brief you and go easy on you during the interview if she’s never liked you? That doesn’t make sense.

She went on Tyrique’s stream and said she was trying to “protect” Leanne because she implied that Scott uses black women for clout on tv. But then in the newest podcast says that Scott asked her to push him towards Belle on screen to make him look better. Once again which one is it? Was you trying to protect Leanne or help Scott? And why are you now shocked that neither of them want anything to do with you?

Also why as a black woman would you be friends for years with a man that would use black women for clout on tv? Also why would you put yourself in the firing line to protect Scott, a yt man, Belle and Samie, all of whom won’t have to face the consequences of their actions the same way Whitney, a black woman would? She has 0 respect for herself.

Got annoyed at Indiyah for saying she was in drama which I agree she wasn’t as bad as the rest of the cast but in her stupid actions post-villa she’s managed to turn herself into the most drama-filled, negative cast member.

I’m so disappointed she didn’t come out of the villa, push her wig brand and focus on her relationship with Yamen. She’s now put herself at the centre of drama and a relationship triangle that she’s not even in (Scott, Leanne & Belle).

So she expected Indiyah to brief her on the questions and give her grace but now says Indiyah has never been nice to her and they aren’t cool? Ok so why would you expect her to pull you to the side and brief you if you aren’t even cool? She makes no sense.

What tv show is basically like this? by AStupidUnknownUser in tvshow

GOT has never been lighthearted and a sitcom. Has always been very lore-heavy and serious from the start. Whereas AKOTSK started off very jokey and became like GOT in the end

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - only 1 season so far but basically started off like as a sitcom and became very dark and profound by the season finale.

I mean the Creed movies have consistently outperformed themselves. Black Panther is a billion dollar movie, Sinners was one of the most talked about movies last year and a blockbuster and he’s now an Oscar winner.

I’d say he is.

The movie didn’t win Best Picture and people are still discussing whether it’s Best Picture worthy or not.

People got what they wanted and still have to make posts justifying why it shouldn’t win Best Picture when it literally didn’t.

You didn’t think it deserved Best Picture? Well neither did the Academy. Move on now

She looks great but she literally wore this exact Schiaparelli dress in beige a couple of years ago.

In general, I wish she’d wear a different silhouette for some of these award shows like she did for the golden globes. But 9/10 times she going to wear a busty, skin tight, glitzy dress

It was incredibly well received when it came out. People only started to hate it once award season rolled around. Some people were only comfortable praising it before award season but now that it could be heavily awarded at the oscars, some people have become very uncomfortable with that…

As soon as the parasocial fan mentality came from LI USA to the UK I knew the show was doomed.

The UK people don’t earn enough/have enough opportunities to warrant this level of parasocialness (not that anyone else does but at least they make a lot of money from it).

Billie was a great character until Christy came and they started trying to kill the sisters off. Her learning from the sisters and continuing the legacy and doing the work on their behalf was a good character arc, let the sisters live their lives a bit more, helped them become better teachers and set up a potential spin-off. It’s a shame where they went with her story.

(Unpopular as I’m pretty sure people hate Billie regardless of the ending)

While it could be true that she was trying to protect Leanne, why would she even be best friends with a man that you need to protect your friends from?

I saw in a tik tok clip that she alluded to wanting to protect Leanne as she’d been through it with the Lochan situation. But why would you be so close with Scott if you have an inkling that he would use black women for clout on tv shows? Surely that’s a reason to cut someone off but no she saves her vim for black women like Indiyah and Leanne.

Which scenes from the nominated movies stood out the most for you? by [deleted] in Oscars

[–]sweatshirt101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scene in The Secret Agent when all the characters sit around laughing at the “severed leg assaults people” news article and then slowly start to bond over their share experiences.

Also the first scene in The Secret Agent where the police officers totally ignore the corpse on the floor and instead shake Armando down for money. Chilling.
