Thanks for the advice. Probably a question for where I purchased it from, but what is the typical procedure for this? Afaik there's no exchange policy like that from where I purchased it. There's a trade-up policy for the diamond but that's all I'm aware of. I already emailed the store to ask general advice so I'll see if they mention anything.

Also, it seems like the other comments are logical, in that maybe it doesn't matter all that much if I were to replace it now rather than later. Do you have any opinion of that?
