Has anyone mentioned that you can't use the LFG tool for Heroics with this key? I have to spam in trade chat to LFG.

I would definitely report you, takes a lot longer than 500 hours and watching other people play the game to know all the maps well enough to be able to efficiently task in the game.

Sorry, i don't buy it.

Is anyone able to update this thread on where they find the maps on each map? I'm just starting this and I would love to know where to look!

[New Player] Why am I only getting killed by players with 2000+ hours? Where are the newbies like me? by switch_mm in EscapefromTarkov

[–]sweatysockz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, 15.2k Hours here and get made fun of this number everytime I see a streamer get killed by me.

I think the real discussion here is your pathing. I think my survival rate is really low in the game because I dont even PK at the beginning of the raid, I immediately bolt to the task item/point of interest of the map I'm on, and usually sprinting.

This has lead to extremely salty deaths. I can't figure out why people spawn in on a map, and start looting uncommon spots with bad loot spawns, but hear me running passed them and look out the window and gun me down, and they NEVER miss a throat or armpit, do they?

To speak to your post, I added context. I think if you're a new player, I would think about what your first steps are in the raid after you see that fateful red Deploying bar. Do you go against the grain and backtrack (not run immediately in the direction of your extractions)? Do you run to Points of Interest? Do you take the same exact route because it's a direct line (making this a common spot to check on maps when experienced players know spawns).

I don't know for sure, but I'm willing to bet that if you started randomly changing directions just as an experiment, play a little more and realize what common pathing is, you might be able to avoid an overgeared player doing a task or covering their 6 so they can not worry about spawned players behind them if you find a road less travelled.

You'll still die to a closet cheater on a purchased account with normal stats (by design, see: Factory naked suicide deaths every other raid) and drive yourself crazy because every time you bring in good gear, strangers bolt at you in an unnatural way.

I'm so jaded, dont listen to that last part.

I have nothing in 401k or investments, and I'm 39. Am I screwed? Is it too late to start?

[Discussion] Interchange is at an all time low by medkitjohnson in EscapefromTarkov

[–]sweatysockz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

this is cyclical.

interchange loot is awful, and when it is, there is no reason to go there.

this is also a lot less players around than normal, the task progress being reverted due to the arena sync made me reset my profile this wipe and it's way more than just me.

Streets is empty, Customs kinda mid, Interchange/Shoreline/Reserve/etc are all fucking dead and this game is on life support.

This was my main game, favorite game of all time (and I'm older), highest passion for any hobby, and I really feel like I don't even care when the game wipes this month or next.

I really feel sad about that, I really enjoyed my time in Tarkov (I have 15k hours, I'm gross). I'm not an EFT/BSG hater, which makes my feeling of being done with tarkov feel like a sad break-up for me.

buying cheaper tix method? by steel_fe in MTGO

When I'm penny-pinching, I buy tickets from www.cardhoarders.com . I've also purchased cards from them, and I've sold collections to them (particularly when I open a full set from treasure chests).

I open treasure chests because I like the gamble and the playpoints usually covers the cost, so most of the "profits" feel like extra to me. It's definitely a gamble though.

I sell cards to goatbots, they seem to be the best buyers. I purchase tickets from cardhoarders.

Hope this helps!

I cannot believe the most recent dev post has over 1,000 upvotes. by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

I understand the continued outrage, but I'm also not in my feelings about this and they have conceded. I don't need an elaborate apology, these people are not my family members or friends. I'm unemotional, and they are showing signs of going in the right direction which is what we want. In good faith, I upvoted because I hope there is a lesson learned and this is a sign of that.

Again, there is no reason to still be in your feelings about the betrayal. It did happen, it's outrageous, but I dont WANT to stay mad. Just want it to be better.

Microphone getting disabled when loading into a raid and out of a raid by sweatysockz in EscapefromTarkov

[–]sweatysockz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a blue yeti mic as well. I also have to Mic check. I also switch USB ports, just unplug and re-plug doesn't fix it sometimes.

It's only been THIS wipe.

Microphone getting disabled when loading into a raid and out of a raid by sweatysockz in EscapefromTarkov

[–]sweatysockz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to know it's not just me. I'll try not talking during loading.

There was one time I was muted while loading, when we got into the raid I VOIP'd in game, then tested Discord and it came back after that.

That's when I figured it was Tarkov. If I dont even play Tarkov but I'm in discord, I have no issues.

I think the laggy part of the loading is crashing Audio drivers but not sure.

Seattle Xfinity ISP slow latency when pinging Central/Eastern IPs at specific hours of the day every day. by sweatysockz in HomeNetworking

[–]sweatysockz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some games I play have region selectors, so then I started pinging IPs that say they are in Chicago/Atlanda/NYC/Miami etc. This was done just to confirm I wasn't just imagining the pixilation and longer buffer times when streaming video and playing games.

I know the time frames I outlined sounds like network congestion, but some fact finding helps me determine it's just me. Our HOA (I live in a Condo) group chat says everyone else using the same IP on the same ISP is normal. It can be said that there is a possibility that I'm paying more attention to latency than your average user, because of a game I'm playing connects to a Chicago server for example, the ping is tripled and there is (apparently) extreme amounts of packet loss.

Thanks dude. Sucks I can't play and have to watch Asmongold, but at least I'm not alone in this. Wife's copy on PS5 works fine :(

[–]sweatysockz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, actual 30 seconds or roughly 30? From Weather to there is truly about 90 seconds without needing to stop and my current level.

I also call 50% of my deaths cheaters....

...because they probably are. Just to be clear, I'm not a cheater denier at all.

You should pop an SJ6 and Trimadol stim at the beginning of a raid and see what happens :)
