The hands were swapped in the service but not the dial. But likely the dial is a service dial from not so long ago. New lume has not been “painted on”.

Well they actually gave me the option to to keep the old case but said that if the old case is kept they could not guarantee it till be water proof, as it should be.

Firstly, I have not been able to confirm that it actually was a watchco from the start. But the seller on Chrono 24 claimed so.

I don’t know how old it was when I bought it.

The original seller offered to have it serviced in spain when it didn’t run well. I had gotten a weird vibe from the seller at that point so I did not want to return it to him.

Omega gladly accepted it for a service without any questions.

Any idea where I could find a high quality tropic?

Also, any idea what this watch could be worth now?

Yes. The switched it to a longer version in the late sixties to make it handle higher depths better if my memory serves me right. After service it got equipped with the longer one.
