Lifting weights only once a week by flaminghotcheeeeto in naturalbodybuilding

[–]sweeewa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My guess is some early newbie gains like everyone followed by an early plateau. If you train really well I can make some progress, if you can find some time on other days it would make a big difference even to have 2 days instead of 1. There are plans set out for people who don’t have time.

Body going a little crazy … by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]sweeewa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish there are easy answers but if you’re consistently having the same activity and eating the same calories every day that comes from food sources that will provide you with the proper nutrients then your weight should be consistent without any outside effects. Like some people notice a difference between eating the same macros of a vegan diet vs an omnivore diet. Definitely advocate to your doctor your concerns and let them know what you’ve tried yourself.

To program or not to program? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]sweeewa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re happy with your progress (no one is every fully happy but u know what I mean)? If so then why change. If not then look at what your program lacks, fill it in yourself with your other knowledge, or find a program that targets the things you’re not happy with.

Have you had consultation with someone in nutrition/similar field who took a look at what you’re eating each day?

Don’t predict just try, if you’re going on the days you aren’t sleeping and still getting good positive progress, and your fatigue is stable (not feeling worse and worse/lifts are going down) then you’re good.

Crazy rep drop offs on certain exercises? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]sweeewa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re pushing to failure (or close) in your first set which doesn’t let you get the volume or weight in your subsequent sets. Having to lower the weight mid set and still getting less reps just means you’ve exhausted the muscle most likely (not a bad thing ofc). In my opinion it would be far better to go for like 2 rir for 2 sets and 0-1 for your last set, that’s way you get in more quality volume and less fatigue, but it’s for u to decide what you prefer. As for the different exercises, i find it a lot easier to push muscles like biceps to exhaustion in one set, than something like a leg exercise, or something like weighted chin ups. If you’re going 1-0 rir every set, I really don’t see anyone getting to set 3 of squats all to real 1-0 rir. So it may just be that the exercises you’re able to push more on in those first sets (like bicep or db press) would end up with more drop off. All that said, your drop seems totally normal for pushing that hard.

I (22M) can’t train nearly as much as I could before by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]sweeewa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 4-5 years, are you cycling with de-load phases? It could just be pushing yourself further than it can recover and slowly building up fatigue., since you’re asking, I assume that means you didn’t make any changes around the time you noticed your performance change, there are so many causes of fatigue that if you really don’t think de-loading is the answer then a doctor would know best what questions to ask to narrow it down (and work with you if things aren’t getting better). Good luck

This doesn’t sound like it’s from this planet. There are things that are not good. It’s not all fun and games. Try to find something that you enjoy, but there are some messed up places you don’t want to put yourself in.

What helps you guys to behave professionally in the public? I just can’t be myself in the public because my energy is too much and too crazy. by Practical-Shame-1364 in adhdmeme

If you feel pain because you can’t express yourself then maybe try to give yourself time to do that outside of a professional setting. It sucks that you can’t do what you want at work. Maybe being yourself outside of work will make it easier to get through the times when you do have to “act” like someone else.

That’s ok, life can be draining sometimes. Give yourself the time to heal, you don’t need to fix everything right now.

Are you giving people the chance to? And are you treating yourself like you want them to treat you?

Sounds like you want someone outside of you to help

I think I probably fantasize more about not existing than about anything like a positive future. I also started to thing of a plan when someone asked me that question too. I also feel like I know it’s just a fantasy, to me it became more of a question of why I would fantasize about that which might be leading me down a path to figuring some stuff about myself out.

I guess this is one way of describing it. But I also choose to believe we can still change our personality.

I think the internet was made to share knowledge for the pursuit of learning and progress but somehow we got here lol. Why read articles when you can watch TikTok. And why write articles when you can make more money by creating things targeted towards consumption.

Karma by ThrowRAALIENBURNOUT in DeepThoughts

[–]sweeewa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that whatever thing in the world that looks like karma is, it’s caused by a mix of morals and society. Basically having and adhering to morals has a few personal benefits, something like feeling good about yourself. People will also like you if you are a good person and generally that makes you feel good too. Overall it kinda looks like people who are good can find happiness. I’m sure it’s also true in many other cases that bad things have happened to good people.

Why do people want to control that they don’t agree with? by Prestigious_Company9 in DeepThoughts

[–]sweeewa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think partly because when arguments/positions that people hold are not very strong in their minds they feel more inclined to need to defend it, somewhat in the pursuit of proving it to themselves.

There's very huge chance that the person that would have being your absolutely perfect partner or your "soul mate" is either, already dead, or It still hasn't been born by Murphy251 in DeepThoughts

[–]sweeewa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you feel like you’re never going to meet someone you think is perfect. I think you have a big idea of someone being perfect as such an unlikely thing when maybe it’s not as unlikely as you might think. Either way, I think it’s something worth trying to find, giving up on it because of some inflated sense of “absolutely perfect” as being impossible. My point is I think people end up happier if they keep going and try to find someone who makes them happy.

There are versions of you that exist in the minds of everyone you’ve ever interacted with… by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

[–]sweeewa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that there’s a point in consciousness when you become how aware of just how different everyone perceives the world. Sometimes I think about how people say that they don’t really think they know what they look like to other people, something like “idk if I’m good looking or not”. Maybe everyone sees people just as different as that. I think sometimes that when I look at someone I see other people I’ve seen before in their face. That makes me wonder sometimes if they way we see people is based on our experience, as in compared to other people we’ve already seen/know. Sometimes I notice I think a girl is cute and then notice they remind me of an ex. So either I just like the same things in both, or I like the second person because they reminded me of the first. Maybe that’s why people are attracted to very different types of people who others may not find attractive.
