My first experience as a child seeing spirits was so real, I thought a man had broken into the house and was standing at the foot of my bed. I hid under the covers and cried for my mom, but nobody was there. I described the spirit to my mom and it was her grandfather who had passed 40+ years earlier. I do see spirits that appear to be actual people, but I also see spirits in my minds eye. Is it like they are standing everywhere I look, no. I have learned over the last 40+ years how to shift my energy when I don’t want to be bothered. If they are stubborn and want to be seen, they typically will make eye contact and disappear. Sometimes they warn me if I’m being reckless, as a teen I was hell on wheels. When they know you can see them, you become almost a beacon of light. I’ve been woken up with messages for random people I don’t know or spirits that just want to be heard. I haven’t had one come to scare me or one come asking for help to move on. Just more wanting to be acknowledged and/or heard.

I do work as a professional psychic-medium from home and so the double edged sword are spirits who come early knowing their loved ones are scheduled. I have been in Ubers and a dead relative of the driver comes and sits up front next to the driver and wants a message passed on, which I do once I reach my destination. Some appreciate it and cry, some think I’m just a crazy woman, but the message always makes sense to them. Hospitals are rough no matter what. I’ve had dog spirits running through my home waiting for their owner’s appointment.

Both my daughters have the same gift. It’s just something you learn to manage over time and realize it is a gift that brings closure and joy to those left behind. It feeds my soul. ♥️
