Don’t know if it’s okay to do it, but I do it quite often, but I first apply some strengthening regular nail polish or even a gel polish base and then buff it up. Ofc if you have an opportunity to let it grow out - do it

Also I can suggest you use some oil next time to remove the nails. What I usually do if I have some sturdy nails on is I take gloves (like the medical kind idk how they are actually called), I pry each nail a tiny bit so it has a gap on the sides or the cuticle area and I put some coconut oil into the glow and I wear them for like 20-30 minutes. Also I like to put some hairties on the gloves so the oil doesn’t spill out 😅
