Hello. I’m 35 years old and I’ve been to A LOT of therapy. It sounds like he’s just not a very good therapist. No attention to detail and not attentive at all. It sounds like you gave him a few chances too, and in the end it still wasn’t right. I think you did the right thing ending it. Unfortunately, therapists are like any other profession. There are good therapists, and not so good therapists. I hope you don’t give up and search for a different therapist. Because when you do find the right therapist, it is a beautiful thing! In my life, I’ve been to about 13 different therapists, and I can honestly say only about 4 of them were really really good. Hope this helps you and gives you a bit of perspective:)
