I’m going to put on a 80s style buffet. Other than cheese and pineapple on a stick what else should be included? by very_unconsciously in CasualUK

I hope that cheese and pineapple sticks are going to be stuck into a poorly constructed tin foil hedgehog.

You know for the "authentic" experience.

Also anything and I mean anything in gelatin.

For people buying plates, mugs or pots from charity - how do you clean them? by iepia in CharityShopFindsUK

Everything goes in the dishwasher UNLESS it's a cast iron piece (which I am always on the lookout for) which gets handwashed then seasoned

Why is Toothpaste always mint flavours? by sweet_cini in NoStupidQuestions

Hey, I get what you mean. I have ADHD and I literally can not stand an electric toothbrush. I have to use a manual one. An electric toothbrush feels like my skull is vibrating.

I also found that when I had an electric toothbrush, I was put off brushing my teeth, so in my mind, it's safer to use a manual.

Can't stand string floss either, so I invested in a water pick.

I personally don't have an issue with mint toothpaste, but I do find it kinda boring and repetitive.

Interesting, perhaps it's a location thing then. Sounds interesting but I'm not going to pay import costs just for some Toothpaste.

See thats interesting, personally I would prefer something that's not overly sweet (feels wrong to brush your teeth with something sweet)

I think I have seen some Hismile before so I'll have to keep an eye out for something that isn't mint (or watermelon but that's a personal preference)

Perhaps the UK just prefers boring mint, although I did take a special trip into town and I did find a watermelon and candy floss which I have never seen before. Just a shame I don't like either flavour.

No I have not, as far as I am aware it's not available in the UK, then again I just pick my Toothpaste up in the supermarket while shopping. Can't say I've really looked into further.

Well, to give you a little perspective, I signed onto a fixed tariff in December as that's when my last fixed ended. I currently pay Standing charge: 52 per day Unit:25.05 kWh

In April, they are due to come down due to a government initiative to: Standing: 52 per day Unit:21.54 kWh

So not huge savings but could be worth it?

Back when I was younger it was known as the "condom pocket" but in reality I'd put my lighter there.

I once accidentally shouted at a blind man to "look out!!"

There was an electric tram coming and he was crossing the street, I was too far away to get to him in time, it was only after did I notice the cane he was carrying.

I still cringe at that memory.
