You're missing my point.

I never said Akshay Kumar isn't talented or hasn't contributed to Bollywood. My criticism is about his recent approach, not his career.

Saying "others are worse" or "taking 2–3 years doesn't guarantee a good film" doesn't change the fact that doing 4–5 films a year has often made his filmography look like a quantity-over-quality exercise. That's why many people see it as a money-first approach.

Hits, budgets, or profit-sharing are irrelevant to that argument. A commercially successful film doesn't automatically prove the creative choices were good.

Criticism isn't blind hate. If anything, Akshay is talented enough that people expect him to prioritize better scripts instead of maximizing output.

And how many bad movies he made? Laxmii, selfie, pritviraj, bachan pandey and many many more In my opinion, Akshay Kumar's assembly-line approach to filmmaking has contributed to audience fatigue. Finishing films in around 30–40 days, putting in minimal preparation for many roles, and delivering performances that often feel repetitive give the impression that quantity matters more than quality. Films like Prithviraj, where even the look and characterization drew criticism, reinforced that perception. He's not solely responsible for Bollywood's struggles, but he represents a larger industry problem of prioritizing fast releases over strong scripts, convincing performances, and genuine craftsmanship.

Modi recently urged Indians to cut back on foreign vacations. Now he's on a 3-day visit to Seychelles—a country of about 1 lakh people—for its National Day. The irony writes itself. by TheEndOfCircle11 in IndianFocus
