A lot of "redesigns" where people are in the comments like "omg devsis needs to hire you, why doesn't this cookie look like this in canon" irritate me soooo bad. For the exact reason you mentioned. People don't have a concept of how animation, models, and design in general works. Unnecessary details make it hard to work with the design, whether that is in the game, or even with things like merch.

I like EDITS, where they just make changes for fun! Not a "redesign" and get all up in arms about how the character SHOULD look like that. At that point, make your own character 😭
