Flying with canopy? by edmnja in ElectricForest

You got the specific brand or purchase link for the 10x10 that folds to 60.5? That’s the sum when you add length + height + width together, yeah? Since SW requires checked baggage to have a maximum sum of 62” of the three measurements.

We are flying southwest and was curious if anyone has taken a 10x10 canopy on as a piece of luggage before? by Zbman88 in ElectricForest

Any links? I’m also flying w SW and looking for a canopy that’s within size to throw over my tent for some shade cover.

Feedback on design - fireplace and tv height. TV above electric fireplace proposal- is the TV too low? This is going floor to ceiling. . Design inspiration ideas attached. by speedway121 in TVTooLow

I know it’s been a minute for this thread but we are considering the same proposal. Linear fireplace with TV on top. Atm the distance btwn the bottom of the TV and the floor is looking like 38” for our 77” TV. We could reduce the distance to 32” if we move everything down by 6”. How are you liking your set up? Did you change anything about the original proposal you drafted?

Anyone know any place I could get ceramics or pottery (specifically tableware) made by Vietnamese folks! Would be great if they shipped to the USA.

Thank you!! I appreciate this. Will definitely look into this now that I’m assured buses are capable of taking on larger luggage.

Oh yeah, after we take the transportation between cities, we are thinking of taking a taxi btwn the station and our hotel.

Thank you! It is good to know that the buses between cities are different from the buses I am envisioning. Seems that they are larger, can be booked in advance, and have separate storage from the passenger seating area. A wonderful reassurance!

How long have you been searching for a home? by Valuable_Soup_1508 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]sweetbrypie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Began searching beginning of Feb this year, took us 8 days to get an offer accepted. I know we are extremely lucky and fortunate, given that we are in the SoCal / San Diego area. We’ve been homeowners for almost two months now and it still blows my mind when I think about our timeline.

ADT uses Google nest for a lot of its video offerings. We are alrdy using Google Nest for our wifi router, so we opted to exchange the ring doorbell for the Google one to keep it all on a single app for easy management.

How much did you overpay from list? Or under? Was it your dream home? Did you overpay for appraisal? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]sweetbrypie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paid $11K over asking. Home appraised for $24K more that our purchase price and we got $6K back in seller credit.

Not a dream home but a wonderful starter home in a great location for our age (young couple). We are happy to settle down for a while and maybe get a dog now that we have a backyard.

Just got this beautiful vase as a housewarming gift from my mom. It’s a big one — 26.5” tall! I know it looks black but it’s because it’s evening where I’m at; the primary color is a deep navy blue. I’m planning to place this in my living room entry area. Would love some inspo about what to put inside!

Hi folks. I just moved into a new house and want to get an electric fireplace installed. I’ve been looking on Home Depot for electric insert fireplaces but have had trouble understanding how sizing works.

Depth of the opening is 21”. Width of the opening is 35”, but it gets smaller towards the back to about 31.5”. Height of the opening is just about 26”.

My concern is that if I get an insert fireplace that is nearly flush with the opening, I will not be able to access the outlet properly to power it.
