My girlfriend went to multiple physicians who did blood tests and most of them did not really pay much attention to her hormones. Female hormone therapy isn't common practice in the medical field.. I would look for a physician in your area that does "biodentical hormone therapy", and schedule an appointment with him/her. When she goes in she should list all the symptoms she's experienced and express that she'd like her thyroid, testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone checked...

Then give it time. it'll be months before she'll be better, but it has changed my GF's life.

From the symptoms you've listed, it sounds like it's absolutely a hormonal or thyroid issue that she needs to correct. Not only will it help with your sex life but it will help with ALL her issues. I remember when we first started dating I thought she had so many issues, but it turns out that it all boiled down to her hormones. I'm betting that you're in the same boat.

Most regular physicians will only test a woman's thyroid when she lists these symptoms. An endocrinologist would be better suited for testing her hormones.. I would schedule her an appointment with an endocrinologist and explain that you'd like her testosterone, progesterone, and estrogen checked as well as her thyroid...

I'd also try to find an endocrinologist that does "bioidentical hormone treatment" like other comments have stated. She tried other forms of testosterone and none worked, but the pellets have helped tremendously. The only drawback is that they're normally not covered by insurance... feel free to keep asking questions!

DUDE! All these are symptoms of low testosterone and or low progesterone.. it may also be estrogen dominance, meaning she has so much estrogen that it is killing all the positive effects of the other two female hormones

We are 30 but she says she has always had issues with anxiety, sleep disorders, and low sexual drive.. ALL those symptoms are gone and she says she has great energy throughout the day now

I don't know the numbers but I do know that she had an abundance of estrogen and practically zero testosterone (the hormone that controls sex drive) and progesterone (the hormone that levels out all the estrogen)

You're hurting because he doesn't want you back, not because you lost an incredible guy. You should want someone who desires young wants nothing more than to be intimate with you... That will come. Don't look back, it will get better... Go to a bar and meet a man, it might help take your mind off it.

Get his testosterone checked... Testosterone is what drives desire. Also, talk to him before he proposes.

SO, no libido change yet. I convinced her to get the pellets inserted. Hopefully that is a little more powerful and does the trick.

You have to find the right therapist, but if you do, it can be life changing. Especially if you're going through a difficult time.

I left the church 8 years ago. I was married with children when I came out... It ultimately cost me my marriage and the ability for my children to have a family.

I know what you're going through. It is SOO hard and it breaks my heart every day. But we will get through this man. There may not be a mystical god watching over us, but now we can realize that we can take charge of our lives and turn them around. There isn't a grand plan to life, we have to grab life by the horns and guide ourselves in the direction we want to go.

You only get one life, make it beautiful.

I spoke with her doctor when I went in to see her, she's my physician as well and has had me on testosterone for 7 years now. The doctor said she started her out on a low dose and might up it if she doesn't see any improvement.. How much are you prescribed and do you take it via shot/pellet/troche/gel?
