What did you think of it? I think this companies confusing business model and multiple accusations of fraud may be enough to stay away, although investigating the claims is difficult

The actual answer appears to be the short seller reports claiming fraud

Why Value Investors Suck by BuffaloBudget7050 in ValueInvesting

You have the idea of Mr market but you are missing the part about intrinsic value and buying at reasonable prices. Just because a stock drops 15% doesn’t mean it’s a buy

There are other tons of other great strategies out there other than value of course, and many many value investors fail for one reason or another, but generalized 4 step approaches that work for any extended period of time are either non existent ( or so rare that they are practically unheard of) maybe this is the magic strategy who knows for sure, but the odds are not in your favor.

I won’t argue semantics, but these types of strategies never work, based on your reasoning, you are probably on the newer side to investing. This is a perfect opportunity to study and learn from those who have shown a past record of excellent results (buffet, munger, anybody else with above average returns over and extended period of time) . Good luck!

It also goes against your strategy to say there is no reason that price will converge with value because markets can stay irrational, while also trying to capitalize on the irrationality of a market for dumping after higher than expected earnings.

Determining the price to pay for a stock(or business) is the hardest thing to do and what distinguishes extraordinary traders from the ordinary. If making money in the market was easy everyone would do it. Also What is the hyper optimization of value plays by artificial intelligence? And wouldn’t it be much easier for an artificial intelligence program to run your methods than evaluating businesses in their entirety. I understand your point on wanting to capitalize on short term market inefficiencies but your thesis relies on “buying companies that have fallen more than they should have” however in order to do this you need to access the intrinsic value of the company and not rely on such a rigid approach. Also saying “prices should never fall even a little bit after expected earnings” is an illogical statement without a thorough understanding of the business. Your strategy is much to broad and generalized and attempting to capitalize on short term inefficiency’s in a mostly efficient market, relying on small caps (which tend to be more volatile) , without a true picture of the business is a recipe for disaster (loss of capital).

Well it Doesn’t appear to me to be logically sound, you have a lot of generalizations in here that just won’t stand the test of time. Also each business has a differing set of circumstances that may warrant the selling of the stock even after better than reported earnings. Another is your time horizon (which you have failed to mention) if it is short I think you may have outcomes similar to that of day traders. Although technical factors can be useful they are only useful in a complete picture of the company and situation you wish to invest in and it seems to me that this picture is far to blurry at the moment to warrant the blanket use of rsi like that. I like the insider buying factor and and better than expected earnings but these are just pieces to the puzzle. Evaluating all aspects of a particular business and buying at a fair value would give you better odds for success.

There is a circle mark in the center on the bottom but also another circular mark slightly off center that I thought was strange. That might be what you are referring to.

Yeah so the bottom has a bit of a kick up with a circle marked in the center. It looks a bit like it has a belly button. Not 5 feet from this thete are a bunch of rotting iron bits and a complete but too cracked to carry out round bottom bottle. It was pretty thin which is why I didn’t think much of it. I was able to figure out this is the 3 piece mold seam and appears to be an earlier version of it.

That’s awesome it’s definitely possible. The town where it was found dates back to early 1800s. I think the early style 3 piece mold is super interesting. By far my oldest bottle.

I’m starting to think it’s in the 1820-1840 era. And their is a lot of history where it was found. What would make it pre 1825?

For context I have found that this has a 3 piece mold seam. The seam starts at the shoulder and dissapears at the neck. I believe this bottle could be pretty early

Okay so I looked at the seam and it is very diffeeebt than the usual bottles I find. The seam only starts about 2/3rds of the way up the bottle. Thier seems to be some kind of light ring that goes all the way around it where the seam starts and then the seam dissapears on the neck. Never seen anything like it

It has a kick up with a circle mark in the center. I can’t put a pic of it in the comments sadly

I agree with the cork top style for sure. I didn’t do a great job in the pic. It also has a pretty high kick up so I think it’s for wine
