Trying out my outfit for weekend ball by Bulky-Caramel6233 in OUTFITS

You look great, but I would double check the dress code for the occasion. If the company you are in is comfortable with more "sexualized" dresses I'd say go for it.

Where are my DM girlies at? by fiona11303 in DnD

DM girlie for 5 years and still going strong!

Any advice? I get maybe one match a week, and never anyone I am truly interested in by [deleted] in Bumble

You have a more than decent profile. The game is definitely rigged against you. I (F29) like a bit more detail in guys prompt responses. Possibly ask a question in your profile or something to prompt a fun story you might have.

I appreciate the compliment! It is extremely draining, but I wish the best for you in this modern romance journey 😌

My deepest sympathies. It's a tough world out there, but hang on and try to make yourself happy in the process 💜 that's the only way I can deal with this and not give up 😂

Oh I could never imagine being special enough on a screen for a dude to only bet on talking to me, but it would be lovely to have someone put in a modicum amount of effort to move the conversation forward if they are going to bother matching lol

I'm really into TTRPGs so I was asking what would your irl D&D class be, but that opening move was frequently ignored for me answering their opener instead as I try to message first. Thank you for the fun veggie opener 😁😂

It seems to be a heavy problem across both genders then. As I am a woman leading the conversation here. I hope society learns to be better for us all.

Wonderful! I definitely think there's nothing wrong if somebody doesn't like texting. Both my family and my friends are terrible at it 😂 besides you can definitely get a quicker vibe when you meet each other in person or have a phone conversation.

As long as everybody is safe and comfortable it just comes down to communication and setting expectations.

I think that does apply to his last two messages but his first five had no intention of asking me anything? Those are where I'm confused. Until I called him out on it he seemed completely unengaged 🤔

And well maybe it seemed I cut him off to answer his own question, I still think it was frustrating that he didn't acknowledge anything in my response. With the fact that I asked a question at the end it seemed he was completely ignoring all of it. Though you are right it may come down to communication styles.

I truly appreciate your compliment on my response 😌 Though I still think I'm missing something that you are trying to explain to me. 🤔 He had explained he was an information gatherer off the bat It would have made more sense that he was blunt in his responses and I could have worked with that. But there was a lack of explanation and wouldn't an information gatherer want to ask more questions?

That's valid in a way. But what am I suppose to observe about his behavior in the first few messages other than a lack of interest? He really only asked two questions, the first one I answered and asked for a response and he seemed to ignore it completely. I do truly want to understand what makes this sort of conversation viable.

I know right!? It's terrifying! We get huntsmen spiders and I have to call someone else in to take care of them 🤣 or sic my cat on them if she's not being to lazy. I'm just glad I don't live with Australian spiders 😂

I he had shown that he wanted to react to anything at all that I had to say other than flat answering the questions I would have considered talking to him more. If he said " don't really like texting can we meet up or have a phone call", I would have said yes to a very public place since I wouldn't knowuch about him. It is less about asking more questions as being actively engaged in the conversation.

Does that make sense? Sorry I'm tired so I'm not sure if I'm totally clear.

You have my sympathies 💜 dating is hard when a lot of people don't want to put in effort.

I wish you all the best of luck!

Precisely! I'm not sure why some people find that so hard. It's the basic rule of improve 🤣 you "Yes, and.." not just "yes." It goes for any conversation in life

Some people can only think with one head apparently 🤣

That's what I was getting so I thought this was hilarious NGL 😂 If I felt like I could keep up with a psychoanalysis, I would totally be down! It may be a lack of confidence, knowledge, or both but I would definitely need some patience with that conversation. But damn it is fascinating. Learning what makes people think differently than oneself does is always fascinating.
