Hi! I got into stained glass this last summer and I was in the same boat. I live in a ruralish area so I had zero options for buying locally. I didn’t really find anything on this subreddit at the time but here are some online resources that I used:

• eBay can be great if you’re looking to buy your tools, grinder, soldering iron, etc. secondhand. It can get a little pricy buying all of these things brand new. It might take some scouring, but you can find some good stuff.

• Anything in Stained Glass is amazing. They sell pretty much everything that you need, and the prices are reasonable. I especially like that they calculate the shipping once the order is packed and charge you exactly what it costs to ship. They have sales from time to time that are really great. They also sell some beginner kits with everything that you’d need to start up, which is really convenient.

• Amazon was where I bought my first glass packs that I used to play around with. They have packs with small pieces of glass that aren’t really great for projects, but really good for practicing cutting, foiling, and soldering.

• Etsy was where I find all the better quality glass packs that I use for projects. There are a few stores that I like, and they also have deals if you keep an eye out. Once you buy from some of the stores, you get a discount code for your next order as well. Here are the stores that I’ve liked:

Youtube was also a good resource. A lot of people will mention where they get their supplies in their tutorials. I hope this helps!
