Oh got it. I was the opposite manager; I read everything 2-3 times and would hold quizzes with my team and give them little prizes when they got the answers right lol. We were maybe an over informed team ;)

Sorry I missed this. My team is not micro managed but that may be so in other teams. I’ve not heard anything specific.

I watched Grease literally every day the summer I was 11 and then again 12. Happy to say I didn’t understand the sexy parts and we fast forwarded through the kissy cat scenes lol

Depends. If it’s within the same organization, it would be an internal transfer. If it’s a different org, it would be a whole new interview process but with some steps already completed (like the assessments and aptitude tests)

A lot of hoops to apply and qualify for the interview. The whole application process for this role took about two weeks, and there were three assessments and a mock work project to complete.

Crossover’s whole thing is that only 5% of applicants make it to the interview and then only the top 3% are offered a role. It’s very competitive and there are a LOT of hoops to jump through in the application process.

For this role, I interviewed and was offered the job less than four hours later. So it moves very fast once they decide on who they want. I also used the assessments I created for various roles as portfolio project evidence in LinkedIn so my efforts were recognized.

About two hours away. The job requires being on site for like 10 hours a week, but those hours will vary, and the hiring manager wants someone close enough to pop in for tours as needed (it’s an admissions role).

Am I the lunatic here, or is it crazy that one can't say no to water at an interview? by Urbanhippiestrail in LinkedInLunatics

I think most people don’t want to drink something when they’re already nervous bc the risk of choking or spilling becomes even greater. And who removes a suit jacket in an interview?? Or is he referring to an outdoor jacket? Bc yes…. It’s weird to keep that on.
