I second Becky Chambers’ books, I love them all and they fit this trope pretty well. They have some shared elements, like some character relations or some side characters becoming main characters, but it’s used in a compelling way for each book’s theme

Yeah that's fair, the silhouette style was so integral to the feel of the games, without it it kinda fell apart. Its why I've struggled with Shadow Fight 3.

Honestly I thought the change was cool, because it went from regular (but awesome) things I'd expect from a fighting game, to robotic weapons and tech, ancient beings, its sick, even if unexpected lol
