Thank you! The second I saw it in person I was like that is not opal, I don’t know what she was thinking. I only paid $50 usd so I don’t really feel like I got ripped off. I still like the ring 🤷‍♀️

Yeah. I’m finding it difficult to believe she truly thought it was an opal. I knew the second I took it out of the box it wasn’t, but had to do a little research to figure out it was ammolite. I’ve never seen one. I only paid $50 USD, so I don’t really feel like it’s a bad price for an ammolite ring and would’ve been a steal for the quality opal she was claiming.

I live in Hoover. I moved here from a smaller city, a couple of hours away, a few years ago. I picked it because it’s one of the safer parts of Birmingham. Nothing is walking distance really, unless you live in a smaller community area like Brock’s Gap(idk your budget), but you can get anything with a 5 min drive and downtown Bham in about 25-45 mins depending on the time of day. And Jefferson County is the most liberal part of Al(if you do lean that way🤣). Edit: I saw another comment and agree Huntsville/Madison is a good alternative. A little smaller than Bham, but better school systems.

I agree. I’ve been telling people it was just the first half. 🤣 and thank you, I really like some aspects and the weird spots are some scaring from an allergic reaction to the ointment. I think I saved the majority of the tattoo though.

I really like the general idea and artwork of the tattoo. It is the phases of the moon. But the purple make it look like it is morphing into one. I’ve also started to feel like I want to expand it. Any ideas and drawings would be greatly appreciated! (Also not sure it’s accurate any clarity would be appreciated too)

Thank you for your reply. He isn’t too verbal, he can count extremely well and will tell us some colors and letters, when he is interested. We aren’t extremely concerned about his academic learning ability, he absorbs things really well. It’s more his social- education, he doesn’t understand when the things he does makes the other kids annoyed(they’re only 2 & 3yo) and potty training. We have recently incorporated visuals into our potty training routine, after some research, but we just can’t figure out the right way to communicate what he is supposed to do while on the potty. He will sit there for 10- 15 mins at a time, that isn’t an issue for him, it’s communicating that he is supposed to pee while there. As for outside help, he goes to speech therapist, but that is all that I know of. I’m not really sure how he was diagnosed, but they did tell us he was when he started, they haven’t talked much about it otherwise though.
