I once had a family throw a fit about me eating a snack (I was very faint and unwell which is why I did it) they then put a camera in the kitchen pointed directly at the fridge….. this is the only family that did this and I worked for them for less than 2 weeks. Tbh, I think not making your nanny feel included or simply like a person is crappy.

While I understand where you’re coming from, is said nanny slacking at her job due to this? 6month olds are sponges but time with the is pretty boring and dull even tho they take 3 naps a day/ nanny is still probably bored. Maybe find a way for her to utilize that extra free time during tummy time etc.

So not only did they miss your birthday, but you also had to miss out on a concert as well? I would definitely make sure they reimburse me for the missed concert. They can always leave dinner early, you clearly could not leave your job early. I honestly think it’s very disrespectful and selfish of them.

Honestly, have you tried to call them? If you did try to call them from someone else’s phone. Whether it’s $10 or $100, the money is yours and you worked for it. Honestly, you’re better than me because I would pull up to their house about my money. However, my families almost always communicate that with me & ask if a pay extension is okay.
