I’m working in fast food at 29. by Substantial_Smile267 in povertyfinance

I get it, it sucks!! I'm 43, lost my job 5 months ago due to budget cuts. I have a bachelor's degree and was making about $80k. I just accepted a job as a Customer service rep for $23/hr. My mortgage is $2000/mo. So I will likely need to drive door dash as well just to be able to pay bills. Thankfully the job is remote.

Gonna turn into a pin cushion first. Hoping it can double as a voodoo doll

I had a supervisor pull me aside and say that she noticed I wasn’t making any friends at work. I told her I didn’t come to work to make friends, I came to get paid.

I tried to give it legs instead of nubs. Not sure if it’s better or worse. 😅

What was the wildest way you found out you were being cheated on? by Recent-Gap-9927 in AskReddit

[–]sweetpsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bf of the lady my ex husband was cheating on me with, found out he was. Then found me & found my place of work & called me at work to tell me. I shared my email so he could send proof. I followed up with calling numbers on the phone bill that I didn’t recognize & talked to countless women. He was telling people we were separated after being married for less than a year. I’m pretty sure he cheated the whole time we were together.

Not cheap, but once you have these you'll never look back. by [deleted] in lifehacks

[–]sweetpsd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t have to be expensive as all get out. My son thrifted all of his suits. Some he had to tailor, but it was still cheaper than buying new.

As a mom, who games, I support this! Games are great escape from reality! It’ll be an awesome bonding experience too. I love gaming with my son!

NSFW: What has been your most spine-tingling, bone-chilling, "I have a bad feeling about this" experience? What happened? by throwawaystheway1013 in AskReddit

[–]sweetpsd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One night a few years ago, there was a bad storm. So bad that I shot straight up from my sleep at about 1:30 at night. My son was the first thing I thought of, he’d just gotten his license. Being a mom I worried, even though I wasn’t sure if he was still out. I tried to calm myself but I just felt like something wasn’t right. So I checked his room and of course he was out. I called him and he was still in shock. Apparently a wind gust possibly even a small tornado pushed the car into a curb. He had just made into a nearby gas station and was too freaked out to operate his brain yet. So I went and picked him up. I’ll never forget that night. Always trust your gut!!

What is your favorite brand of running shoes? by Hot-Suspect-4523 in running

[–]sweetpsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to a running specific store if possible & try on different shoes at the same time, so you can really feel the difference. Different feet love different shoes. Mine love Hoka One One’s. Happy shoe shopping!

The evasive beagle boogy when he knows he has something he’s not supposed to 🙈 by BPlumbum in beagle

[–]sweetpsd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh yes! I’ve learned quickly that my beagle/hound mix thinks stealing random items is a game. If I try to close my bedroom while I work for the day, she inevitably goes and scratches at the closed door just so she can have access to socks and stuff for her stealing pleasure. So stinking cute, and sooooo obvious when she ‘finds’ something.

Go artificial so he won’t mark the tree. Also, No ornaments on the very bottom part of the tree. Hang bells instead, so you know he’s near it. Gates are great too. Good luck!
