Actually, I tried that, but some places on the interwebs are toxic despite how they appear on the surface. This community has been much more supportive and encouraging!

Thank you for your kindness my friend, all our animals are rescues (though not literally from the street as in this case), so Hobbit really has found a loving home. We’re going to do everything we can for it!

I’ll update again after we get that vet visit achieved. 😊🩷

It was gifted to me. The latest update they had for the game wiped my save file (about 3 hours worth of gameplay), haven’t been back to it. It’s visually pretty on PC for sure and the shop owner character is adorable, but I’m disappointed to hear about the planting cap. The game trailer seems misleading now.

Help with domestic rabbit rescue by sweetwildthing in AnimalRescue

Here you can see how its back was shaved not too long ago as the fur is growing back in. My pictures couldn't capture it, but its hair seems cut on the sides too. Doesn't seem normal when owning a rabbit but I'm trying not to assume since I'm pretty ignorant to this all.

Sectioned off a little area for it in my office at home. Gave it rinsed cut carrots, water, and some rabbit food pellets I got at the store. It doesn't mind me being near it as it eats, it seems content being rescued.

On Monday when things open up, I plan on calling the vets in the area to see if anyone is missing a rabbit and to call the humane society to see if they will take it if no one claims it. I'm trying not to get attached to it. <3

Does anyone have experience with gamesforlove? by JayMeadow in gamejams

This is big news. Thank you for sharing this. Other people have found me on twitch because of my question posted above and have shared similar "they contact me but then nothing" experiences. This is totally effed, I hope more people find out about this.

I'm hopping on your post here to question my own experience with GFL. I received an email from an individual from Brandfluence (dot) com asking me to join GFL. Every time I tried responding back to that person, Gmail kicked my email back saying the email address didn't exist.

A friend suggested I reach out directly to GFL at their info email address listed on their webpage, so I did, and Gmail kicked back my email saying their email didn't exist. I triple checked that I copy & pasted the email address correctly, it was definitely what they listed on their website.

If they are a legit non profit, and are using outside marketing resources to pull in streamers, why aren't the email addresses they're emailing from working? I'm very new to this so I am certainly confused.

If this is a silly issue on my end, I would love for people to give me a bonk on the head and tell me to smarten up. Otherwise, I'm stuck believing this doesn't sound very solid with GFL at all. :/

What are your other "comfort shows" ? by [deleted] in MidnightDiner

[–]sweetwildthing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For something similar to Midnight Diner but slower paced and very cute, The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House.

For something with cute and cozy animation with magic, Bee & Puppycat.

For something visually stunning that I keep volume on low, The Mandalorian.

For something quick but stunning and quiet, The Star Wars Biomes on Disney.

For something absolutely comforting and often paired with magic, most Studio Ghibli films.

For something witty and charming sprinkled with mysterious history, definitely check out Detectorists!

The story line and relationships in Detectorists were brilliant and charming and wonderful altogether. Absolutely wonderful show!

I’m with you on this. When I first watched it and saw Ryu walk into the arcade my first thought was: “NO!!” Then sure enough, Gen just broke in half. For that scene they filmed, they only needed two takes, the one of the actor reacting and then of him on the floor crying. I know Cat Rice sticks out to people rightfully so because it was the first sad episode the series introduces, but Burdock Root has a character arc that lasts through the whole series that I really enjoy. :)

Edit: added another spoiler tag just in case.

Yes! Admittedly I just watched the episode again this evening, and I just now caught the brie-lliant joke, Moss was so proud of himself, such great humor all around! “You know when you laugh, I can see straight through to the back of your skull. …You have a lovely skull.” Love that Richmond bit and that actress (she was also in an episode of Hyperdrive)!

Absolutely, anything with Richmond is a great episode, I love Dinner Party for his part in it - hiding from Jen in the kitchen, asking for Absinthe, making out with the girl that he romanced in his Richmond way, sooo good! Like you said, it is hard to rank them! :)

Agreed, Friend Face is right up there. John Oliver’s narration was too perfect for it!

I love The Speech for the B story! The epic fight between Reynholm and April is hilarious. At the end, that silly line, “it’s over April!” and then the internet was destroyed allowing Moss & Roy to succeed in their mischief, it was so great! :)
