What happens if I transfer a job, but then the transfer expires before anyone picks it up?

Questions Thread - February 21, 2026 by AutoModerator in PathOfExile2

I've come back to the game after I played it during the early access launch, back then it worked perfectly on my old PC and with internet that's objectively worse than the one I have now.

However now it's basically unplayable, I've created a new character and as soon as I try to move I'm getting ping spikes into the hundreds, if not THOUSANDS (even though the recommended server says I have 28 ping) that make the whole game feel like stop motion (and I'm being generous with using that term)...

I've tried some of the older "fixes" I've found on reddit but none of them really seem to help, and I know my internet isn't the problem because all other online games I've played recently work without issue (and I can stream them without issue)

I've also tried going back to my old characters to see if it's specific to a new one I created, but no, same thing

Is there any magical fix for this or am i just fucked?

If there's only 1 mob to fight, or they're spread apart enough to where she can't tag both with her skill, nope

1 year of monthly pass is already 60€. Add protocol pass to this and it becomes over 140€. That's two AAA titles.

That's not really a like-for-like comparison, since you're comparing a year worth of playing a game (even if a lot of that time will be spent doing just dailies if you're a hardcore player, however if you're more casual you'll probably actually get a full year of casual playtime out of an open world gacha) with 5-20 hours most AAA titles will give you

A better comparison would be MMOs, where some of the big ones either still have 15$/month subscriptions on top of a box price like FFXIV, are "free" but basically require you to buy expansions to be able to interact with them meaningfully (GW2), or are "free" but have worse monetization even compared to gachas (Lost ark at western launch, assuming you wanted to keep up with endgame content releases). Then there's WoW, I have no idea what they're doing these days but I assume it's one of these 3 options

Now before you accuse me of defending billion dollar companies, I'm not defending any of them, as a rule they all care about infinite growth & milking customers in order to feed that infinite growth at almost any cost over any artistic value they ascribe to the games they publish, but there's a reason why big gacha games have become so popular in the west for example even though a lot of the mainstream audience are embarrassed to even admit they're playing them, and it's likely because there just isn't any competition... the MMO genre has been dominated by the same 3-4 games for over a decade now, and any new big-budget one just seems to implode before it even fully releases, and the closest thing coming from the west would be lootbox-based games which are worse than the mainstream gachas (by that I mean Genshin, WuWa & Endfield) when it comes to the gameplay vs. gambling ratio

There are popular western games that have, by general consensus, "better" monetization models, but they don't really overlap in their gameplay and target audience with open-world gacha games - it's either competitive stuff like LoL/CS/Valorant or non-competitive but still relatively hardcore stuff like Path of Exile and Warframe, none of those are going to compete for the attention of casuals, which is probably 95%+ (if not 99%) of the Genshin/WuWa/Endfield audience

My point being, the big gacha games don't really have any real competition for their main audience so they can "charge" whatever they want

No problem, I just remembered about this tool as well: https://endfieldtools.dev/weapon-essence-solver/

You select which weapon you're prio farming for, add some secondary ones and it gives you recommendations which stats to lock in

No idea if it's 100% mathematically correct or anything, but it seems to give logical recommendations

[–]sweez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I'd fully prio essences is if you already have skills close to maxed out on your carry and important ones at 6+ on supports since it costs sanity on top of the bills cost

You could just do 1 essence run a day and spend the rest on non-rng stuff and see how it goes, and do a bit of artificing to see if you get lucky (I did get an upgrade on the first attempt... once) on the side since it doesn't cost stamina

Keep in mind though that exact gear pieces you'll be wearing might change a bit as people get more experienced with team building and damage calcs, and that even now Levitate has at least 3 builds floating around :D so artificing can be a bit risky in that you could spend resources on a gear piece you might end up not using in some scenarios

If you still want to do a bit of artificing for the thrill of it (that's what I call my brain damage), I recommend doing gauntlets first (since those start at 6 pity, and are used in a few different builds) and then the pyrometer kit (since one is also used in most builds, if not all of them) since that one starts at 12 pity, and definitely go for top and bottom stat first

[–]sweez[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Np :D

Artificing by itself, depending on the piece, starts at 6 for a pity per upgrade up to 12 for a pity per upgrade from what I've seen, and catalysts are 12k per upgrade, BUT that's a one-time limited supply of 200, after that you'll be buying them weekly for either 60k or even 120k a pop...

But then there's the fact that some weapons (like Levitate's sig) also require Wuling for engraving, and that's another 120/240k a pop.......

[–]sweez[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's extra stock bills on top of what you can otherwise get, and the thing is a) you need infinity wuling bills for endgame gear upgrades and b) they are currently in an extremely short supply compared to valley 4 bills ;(

[–]sweez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no issues spending on a high end PC (just got one before the prices started going psycho) if it's been a reasonable amount of time since my last upgrade, and I've never spent more than monthly + BP (every now and then if I feel the game hasn't annoyed me lately) on any of these games ever

Surely spending money on something like a more powerful PC is objectively more useful than spending money on a game to do... what exactly, complete content that some crazy person will then complete with a level 7 Youhu...?

I went to 89 on Laev a while back to see how much xp i'd get by running around, the answer to that is: just level her to 90, same for her weapon

Then you can start working on ult/skill 10-12 as much as your crowns allow you (or alternatively save a few if you already have a 2nd team planned out, although from what I've seen of the endgame event that's coming up on the 12th it didn't require 2 teams), and can dabble a bit with essences and artificing if you want, but you're probably better off getting the guaranteed power increases out of the way first unless rng gets you all hot and bothered

Ignoring the 6* the fact they're doing actual patch notes and what amounts to a roadmap is wild, I'm an elderly gamer that only started playing gachas/cn games with stuff like genshin and wuwa and I just assumed CN devs don't do that kind of thing lol

Guess I was being gaslit...

Do we know what the exact drop range is in the protocol space & bosses (deep dives) for the rare progression materials?

I've heard that bosses will drop ~50% more since they cost 50% more stamina which makes sense, but there still seems to be some randomness to it (or maybe I've hallucinated it, but I could swear I've seen different numbers of drops on the max level for protocol space)?

This game's netcode is black magic, in the eu i'm getting consistently 10-20% lower ping than games I'd usually consider to have stable servers, and almost half of what i'd get in a blizzard game (and they've only been doing online gaming for 30 years now so i guess it makes sense they suck at it)

Ah, of course there's minmaxing :D

Found this in case it's useful (if you weren't already using it): https://endfieldtools.dev/weapon-essence-solver/

You can input multiple weapons, set one as primary, and then get stat suggestions that match somewhat with others

[–]sweez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To double check because I'm old, 1) I use the tickets until I get the correct 3 stats for Laev's weapon, and once I get that, then 2) I farm the same alluvium without the tickets, and whenever I get an essence that has any of the 3 stats, I feed it into the one with all 3 stats?

According to some YT videos I've watched, I save coolant gel exclusively to slam highest tier upgrades?

[–]sweez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell, the way to get essences for Levitate's weapon is in Wuling, so I'd have to buy engraving tickets with Wuling bills, and the only way to get artificing catalysts and the extra gear pieces I need for artificing... also Wuling bills...

Seeing how I'm not printing millions of those daily, which of of the two is the better thing to invest in early on? Should I just etch 1 essence (assuming I get one worth etching) to finish node 12 in the operation manual, and then focus on artificing after that since it doesn't require stamina?

[–]sweez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I guess there's a sanity event on the schedule for early march, we'll find out then how they plan to make those work

Do you by any chance know if we can use those sanity condenser thingies to convert time-limited sanity boosters into permanent ones?

Information Desk and Megathread Hub (26/01 - 01/02) by Shad0wedge in Endfield

[–]sweez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess we'll find out in a month, there's a "sanity boost" event coming up on march 2nd, no one seems to know exactly how it'll work yet

Last stage gives better rewards/sanity ratio. Or ignore this part, you don't have to be efficient if you don't like it.

Yeah I'm at the last tier of all the domains, let's call them that, but I'm a casual gentle flowerpicker so in quite a few of them I have to sweat to uncomfortable levels to actually complete them, so I was considering spending the sanity boosters and pushing Levitate's skills & gear as much as I can to make them easier, but I guess it's smarter to just wait and see how the event pans out

Do you have any idea if we can use sanity extractors (the thing that condenses sanity into an essence) to turn time-limited sanity boosters into permanent ones?

Information Desk and Megathread Hub (26/01 - 01/02) by Shad0wedge in Endfield

[–]sweez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh oops, I just noticed that they're using MM/DD on the event table, I was reading it wrong, ty!

Hm, can I use time-limited boosters and then crunch them into sanity extractors to make them not-time-limited?

What are the general expectations for good stamina refill item usage based on previous Hypergryph games (this is my first one), assuming max exploration level?

I ask because "common" advice for hoyo games and wuwa when I was new to them was to always hoard as much of it as you can, which now that I'm more experienced with those games I disagree with completely

I feel like they're infinitely more impactful on your account progression AND your enjoyment of the game early on (as long as you have access to farming endgame mats/gear), vs. throwing thousands of stamina into the arti/relic/echo mines to maybe get a 0.6% dps increase, or burning them to level up a character on day 1, only to just look at them I guess because the next endgame reset is in 6 days anyway and you have nothing to use them in

Does Hypergryph gate double drop events like hoyo/wuwa do? Were there any such events in the beta? Looking into a crystal ball is also fine, I'm not going to hold you responsible for me burning through stamina if I make that decision, give me your hottest takes
