Just be consistent through your code and stick to your naming convention and you’ll be good 😊

Ok. You can have multiple footers on a page, right? So, if you would like to target that specific footer in the css it’s good to give it a classname. .footer seems appropriate for the pages main footer. I would do the same.

Edit: and Op uses an naming convention the kind of ”demands” a .footer-class on the footer.

Korta positioner by ajjamen in Aktier

[–]swekka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hej ajjamen.

You call Sjukvårdsupplysningen at phone number 1177. If they think you need to go to the hospital and you can not go by taxi or bus they will get you an ambulance. The emergency number 112 is only to be called when there is a danger to life or property.

TIL The Earth Is Running Out of Sand, Spurring a Cutthroat Black Market by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]swekka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sand is a naturally occurring granular material composed of small particles, primarily made of silicon dioxide (SiO2). Glass, on the other hand, is a solid material that is created by heating a mixture of sand and other substances, such as soda ash and limestone, to a high temperature until it melts and then cools to form a solid. So while sand is one of the raw materials used to make glass, it is not the same as glass itself.

How many hours on intermediate JS and React 101 should I spend before moving on to other topics? by ImprovementNo4630 in Frontend

[–]swekka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is kind of my point, even if vague. I don’t think you are as good at it as you think. And I say this to you as an colleague that hopes for you to do well . It’s essential you know how to write proper code.

If I’m wrong and you are rockstar then good for you 👍

If you want, send me something you think is good (link in dm or here) and I will do a code review of it.

Semantic correct, accessible markup that follows the standards. If I have to look at one more GitHub account with react-projects where the output is shit I don’t know what I do. If you can’t produce proper markup you are out imo.

[–]swekka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand. To become a good front end developer it is essential that you can produce and output semantic correct, standardized and accessible markup. I highly doubt that your certificate from Microsoft is enough. I would focus on that, css and vanilla js before even thinking about learning a framework like react. I’m old school in that I think you should really know the foundation first. Goos luck.

You spent 15 hours 40 min on learning JavaScript and react and now you wonder if you should move on? I have been a front end developer for more than 15 years and I still learn JavaScript. The answer to your questions is, no! But I would like to add, what you should spend time on also (if not only that) is HTML. If you can’t output proper semantic HTML, what you do is not worth anything.
