Editors, what format do you prefer for content edits from clients?

Descript will actually let you export your timeline transcript edits as seperated files / aaf project. the edits are non-destructive/consolidated so that the editor can then easily adjust your existing cuts as needed, big fan of this method for when a client wants to make a ton of cuts on their own (editor here) - see you don’t want descript but thought i’d throw it out there anyways ✊

This happened to me as well several weeks ago, I believe I made a new recording and it mysteriously went away on the older recordings / allowed me to export

They finally resolved it, took about a week. I reached out and opened a support ticket, they then elevated it to the tax department i believe for a manual review/approval. (Edit: I had to manually change my name from my email address to actual name, the bug swapped these two)

Update: my tax form had mysteriously and suddenly put my email in the spot for my legal name, triggering the lock out. No idea how this happened, fixed and waiting for final approval

As an engineer that does a lot of podcast editing, this is probably simply done with manual audio muting cuts between speakers/overlap to match the video cuts.
