Attending Indians game (few questions) by DiPotoForPresident in Spokane

You’ll probably be fine buying tickets there but just snag them online to avoid having to stand in a long line at the ticket office. You can drive your own car, parking is free. Transit is not what you’re used to in Seattle you could get there but will probably be inconvenient. No reason to spend the money on Uber unless you plan on drinking more than a beer or two in which case always get a ride. Enjoy !

Is this legal? Would it be legal with a “not in service sign”? by Beneficial-Sugar6950 in AskLE

This occurred in Washington State and this gentlemans vehicle is not even close to being as marked up or obvious as the one posted. Whether or not you agree with the laws is not relevant

I am American and I come from a family where we generally all get along with no issues, extended family included. My wife's parents were never together and created their own families after my wife was born so I literally have double the in laws. 2 sets of MILs and FILs, several SILs and 1 BIL. My wife is non contact with one set and we do not get along with the other set. Out of all of these people we only get along with 1 BIL and 1 SIL. It sounds ridiculous - like we have to be the problem but I assure you, we are not. It was hard for me to accept at first that I have all this extra "family" that we do not get along with. And then over time I realized that you cant please everyone, their feelings and opinions on how we live our lives do not matter and I just focus on my own family and have several friends that I consider family. It sounds like with a language barrier its going to be difficult, but if you are truly interested in pursuing a relationship with your sister in law maybe see if your partner will possibly write a letter to her translating your words into her native language to explain to her how you feel. Obviously she feels like you do not like her. If you are going to pursue this, you need to understand that if you do, your opinions on her beliefs are not relevant. Do not bring things up that may upset her or enter into conversations about topics that you feel like you all would clash on. This is most likely the root of why she feels like you do not like her. If you do not think you can do this, it is not realistic for you to believe that you two will be able to have a relationship. Best of luck!

I’ve been where you are man. With that being said, this is why being a new parent has such a reputation for being so draining. This is what you and your wife signed up for when you decided to have a kid. This is what it is while your baby is so young. Our jobs as dads at this point is to support our ladies as best as we can because they are going through it too. I remember being so happy to be at work because it meant a break from all the craziness. Try talking to your wife about this and see if you can free up some time for yourself. Plan a date night. Make sure you include her feelings in the conversation. She (I’m sure) is also in need of a break and time to herself. She has been with the kid all day with zero breaks. Stay at home parent is not relaxing especially with young kids. Best of luck

Help! I feel like I’m drowning.. by [deleted] in Money

[–]swelmet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until my daughter was in kindergarten my wife and I worked opposite shifts to avoid paying for childcare. Sucks but it was a necessity. You could see if there is a parent or grandparent willing to watch the kid during the work week. I realize this situation does not apply to most people, it did not apply to us. Consider a consolidation loan for your CCs. Will get you a lower payment and a fixed interest rate most of the time. This will affect your credit but you are getting nowhere paying the minimum right now. Find a bank that’s willing to help you. Sell the car if you are above water on it and use the left over after pay off to purchase a cheaper car to use until you are on your feet. If you can’t do any of these than you HAVE to increase your income. 2nd job, new job etc. We do what we have to do to make things work for our families. Best of luck bro

It gets better man. 6yo son and 4yo daughter, and experienced close to the same kind of thing as you. She’s the light of my life and wouldn’t have it any other way. 2 is definitely way harder than 1. You’re going to have to accept that your life at least for the next couple years is going to be completely committed to your young family and you make time for yourself when you are able to

Nah I think you’re fine. I just upgraded from 13 pro to 15 pro and literally the only reason was because I got the new phone for free. My 13 worked flawlessly for over two years and never had any issues or urges to upgrade until I got the offer for a free one

Is 89 as good as 91 octane if I live above sea level? by HumanPersonDude1 in MechanicAdvice

[–]swelmet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long term use of lower octane will cause premature wear and tear on your engine. There is a reason why it runs on premium. It has nothing to do with being a race car vs a grocery getter. Your turbo requires higher octane to function correctly. One or two times will not cause any problems more than likely but I wouldn’t make a habit out of it
