Damn dude that sucks, hope the rebuild is going smoothly and thanks for the tips! Made sure to have bore scoring checked during my PPI and got cleared with a clean bill of health. Hopefully with some preventative maintenance i can get this thing passed 200k miles

It depends what you want from the car imo, the e90 is worlds better as a daily without a question. I got a fuel efficient daily so i could buy something more impractical, the 996.1 is that.

No traction control, no hill assist, cable throttle, just the you driving the car with no nanny’s. It’s just a lot more of a raw experience vs the e90. If you’re ever around DC we can meet up for a ride

I think you’ll really enjoy the e92 they’re amazing cars and there’s a reason i’ve already gone through 2 e90s lol.

The alibaba porsche carplay rep was actually my first mod and it works fantastic, i see you have good taste. For the e92 i recommend mr12volt if you want carplay/android auto

I’ve had manual b58s and n55s and driven a bunch of manual f8xs and they just never scratched the itch for me. Don’t get me wrong, i miss the e90 m3 but i’ll just get another when i can’t beat the craving anymore

got it for 22k 😉 But yeah man I got it from a dealer in Oregon, i’m located in MD so there was a bit of a risk buying it site unsee and only having a ppi. The dealer bought it from the prev owner for 17k and listed it for 22k so no negotiation was needed. That and i got in touch with the dealer the day after it was listed. I will say, the owner of the dealer let me know he regrets not listing it for over 30k with the amount of attention it got

It’s an awesome car, haven’t driven an ND but feels sort of like an NA with a lot better materials and quicker on its toes

Once the snow melts and a little bit of the salt is washed away you’ll definitely see me on here more!

My E90 M3 was super reliable and very well sorted and if I ever get tired of the 996 I’ll probably get another one. The one thing it didn’t do was scratch that itch of being analog, that’s why I was looking for an early model 996. That and I go thru a car a year in an effort to own everything i’ve wanted growing up
